Comments: The room with two beds is very small. There is a shower in a corner of the room, without separation of any kind. The (private) toilet is in the corridor. There is a small stove, a fridge and a TV that doesn't work (but then you don't go to Berlin to watch TV so it didn't really matter). The place is nice and the s-bahn is not far. If you are not claustrophobic it's a good place to stay at a very low price.

Comments: Good place to stay for a few nights. Very good location, near to the tram and only 15 minutes to town. The owner didn“t speak English very well, so it was quite difficult to communicate with her.

Comments: We booked a double but ended up with a twin which was a bit of a bother but could be overcome. The other big thing was that the room absolutely reeked of smoke, and as a non-smoker and a smoker who had just quit this was less than ideal. Staff were nice and left you alone and it was quiet and easily reachable, but if you really don\'t plan on being there other than to sleep I guess it\'s stomachable.

Comments: On arrival it became clear that the 'appartment' with double bed (and kitchen unit/bathroom) had only 2 fixed single beds which could not be placed together. As newly wed couple we were not happy with this at all!!! We were moved to a room with double bed in a hostel, where we were to share a kitchen with others. After showing dissatisfaction with the situation, expecting a self catering 'apartment' as described on the internet, Karin, the woman owner, lost her temper and became very impatient and rude. It was because of the attempts of her partner that the situation did not escalate, leaving us on the streets of Berlin! We stayed in the hostel, while paying for an 'apartment'; on top of this we lossed 20 euros worth of cheese (taken out of the hostel's fridge). It was a bad start of our holidays and we are disappointed people don't deliver what they promise on the Ryan Air Hostel Website!

Comments: The apartment was in a great location, really spacious and in a lovely block with a nice courtyard garden. The owner, Karin, is friendly and apart from a bit of a wait to get into the property there were no problems. She was also very accomodating by letting us leave our cases in the room as we had a late flight. Berlin is a great city and Prenzlauer is a great district to stay in. We had a brilliant weekend and would recommend the apartment to anyone!

Comments: Apartment owner did not mention she didn't speak any english until we I got to Belrin and telephoned as instructed to arrange to meet to pick up keys...not ideal at 9pm after a day of travelling! Evidence of apartment owner entering room when we were out during the day..unacceptable! Also, owner 'kicked' us oout of our room an hour early..we literally had 10 seconds to get our stuff and go...again, unacceptable. In summary, the apartment was ok for the money, the location was fantastic. Just a few mins walk from the nearest S-Bahn station which was only 10 mins from the centre of Berlin. My only gripe is as above with the apartment owner, I felt uneasy by knowing the room had been entered during the day when we were not there. Probably not so bad if you speak good German. Probably wouldn't stay there again.

Comments: The apartment was nice, but the staff was rather suspect and confused. We loved the garden and the beds were just perfect! The neighbourhood felt safe and even though it was a bit outside town it was very beutiful. But think of one thing! Do not look in the refrigiator or you will be in a deep chock, disgusting!

Comments: A great place in general. Nothing to complain about. There wasn't much of interaction with the staff, but the little we had was pleasant. Wonderful and peaceful location, _beautiful_ garden. What I liked most was the fact that this place is just a normal flat, so we could live like normal Berliners.

Comments: I was very surprised and pleased by the satndard of the apartment in Prezleur Berg. It wasnt strictly a Hostel as there were no members of staff and the whole attitude of renting the arpment was a lot less formal. I arrived, payed the owner, got the key and when I left I simply left the key in the room. THe area is a very hip part of East Berlin which had all the night life you could ask for. A must for a short cheap city break.

Comments: Booked a double room and ended up with a twin. The rooms are a converted apartment, so no staff present. The owners are very nice, though but older, so need a little respect and politeness. The apartment is a basement one, so very dark and no atmosphere. You get your 25euro worth and thats it. Location is great for Prenzleberg and quite close to Alexanderplatz. Lovely bars and restaurants around. very bohemian feel to the area.

Comments: The description made it sound like a private apartment, but it was actually a nice, clean hostel. While this surprise was not bad, it was not what I was expecting. The hostel is also quite a far distance from the S-Bahn, the subway in Berlin, so it takes a while to get around just because Berlin is so big.

Comments: After the initial confusion of finding the place (which is actually located on Hufelandstrasse 38 as opposed to Senefelderstrasse19) my friends and I were extremely impressed with this property. It is located on a cool and funky tree-lined street and is very easy to access areas like Alexanderplatz/ Mitten. The rooms are clean new and great, as are the bathrooms. They also contain everything that one might need in order to ensure a comfortable stay. The staff speak minimal english (be patient) however are very hospitable people and go out of their way to assist in any way that is possible. Overall... an awsome place :)

Comments: So first of all, that is not the address of the hostel. I think maybe that is the home address of a person who is in charge of a few hostels in the area--I'm not really sure. So that made it a pain to check in. Also the people who ran the actual hostel were not the nicest people I have met--granted we did wake them up in the middle of the night, but it was only because the key they gave us would not open their door. They did not speak any english, and I do not expect that, but I do expect them to listen to my broken German instead of just yelling and getting upset when I am trying to explain to them that there are only 7 of us in the apartment now because 5 of us need to pick up our bags that are behind the locked door so that we can go to our other hostel that is 45 minutes outside of Berlin. Next time I won't pick a hostel 45 minutes outside of the city, but I won't pick this one, either.
