Understand we booked a basic night though if known of options on breakfast would have been happy to pay a extra few £££...The choice of cereal was very poor and of bad quailty and have only one jam and little of it for toast was very tight...£12.50pp per night for room is very good and as I said would have been happy to pay extra £5.00pp for a better breakfast if known.. The decor was nice and staff helpful. The carpets were dirty. Issues with the security cards, e.g. having to get them reactivated almost every day were annoying.breakfast was basic; warm milk, cereal, toast and butter.had to stay here due to the trip being at short notice it is not worth the money as we paid £48 pounds a night for 2 of us to stay in an 18 bedded dorm. no lockers

Awful! There's a bedroom with 18 people...stinky...and they put additional 19th bed when necessary...I couldn't wait to leave!!!

I really liked the place, since the dorm is clean and warm, and everything inside the hostel looks new(dorms, toilets, bar). There are also drawbacks. The hotel is located at about 25 minutes walk from the Old Town; the toilet of the first floor has 3 showers and just one wc for 24 people; there are no fridge, kitchen and lockers in the hotel. Anyway, we had a great time in Edinburgh, so the hotel did its job. If you are looking for a cheap and clean place, this hotel is a good choice.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating Ireland 4th January 2008 Female 25-30 2/5 Comments: I didn't stay here in the end, as the room I had booked was unavailable and I was offered an alternative room in a larger dorm for a higher price. I did have friends who did stay here and they were very unimpressed with it. They found the staff to be very unhelpful, the bed linen wasn't changed when people left and they tried to charge one of them full price for a matress on the floor when he had boked his bed at least a month ago. To be perfectly honest I'm delighted not to have stayed here

Don´t lock the bathroom door unless you want to spend the rest of the night in the bathroom. Very expensive, and even though the staff was friendly I can not recommend it.
