Comments: The hotel is good value for money in expensive Sydney, but in the past few years it hasn't been kept up ... my room had the light fixture missing, heating not working, shower knob fell off. The location is great, but the neighbourhood is a little "iffy" at night.

Comments: The bathroom door was locked and I could not open it. Pretty crap in the middle of the night, but I am not going into more detail.

Comments: Usual standard for Formule 1 Hotel - but in the centre of Sydney - this makes a great place

Comments: Bedspreads need to be washed more often, not just the sheets. They were dirty with remnants of another couples good night - not something you dont want to be sleeping next to!

Comments: Good location for Kings X. Good price. Nice staff. Be warned though; we parked out the front under a big bright light, and our car got broken into. Bit of a bummer, but partly our fault for leaving bags in car. Doh!

Comments: I didn't like this hotel at all. The hotel was stuffy, my first room felt claustrofobic to me (small and you couldn't open the window), had no towels and had a toilet that did not flush. When I went to reception to change rooms I found out that the light in the elevator didn't work. Since I did not want to go into a dark elevator, I thought I'd take the stairs. There were no normal stairs so I took the fire stairs. Bad idea: the minute the door closed behind me I was trapped! Luckily I had my mobile phone with me and the hotels telephone number. After I got out I changed rooms. My second room was a bit bigger so that was nice. It again didn't smell very nice and you could see old stains in the white towels ... not very pleasant! In short: I do not recommend this hotel!

Comments: the staff weren't very helpful. we had to get our own trav booking email and forward it to their computer, which didnt work. then they eventually walked the 10 feet over to look at our email and check it with their own eyes. next day they banged on our door and tried to kick us out even though we'd paid for the 2 nights and made me find the receipt to prove so. i seriously doubt they actually have a booking system- just a greedy cash register they stuff your money in. plus pay tv didnt work.

Comments: Pretty basic hotel, but for the price not bad. Don't expect a great hotel for the price of a descent hostel. Would recommend and would stay there again.

Comments: Probably a good bet if you want a nice break from hostels. Not too much more expensive than a double hostel room and you get your own ensuite too.

Comments: The only slight inconveniences we experienced with this budget hotel were the absence of a kettle/spoons/cups, and also the location. Being in the Red Light District there was a distinctly different atmosphere after 9pm, which may not necessarily be to every travellers tastes. Overall however, it adequately suited our needs.

Comments: You have to chage trains getting to the city center. You'll find plenty of cheaper and nicer locations around Kings Cross (even with free Internet) so just take the train there and wander around a bit.

Comments: Stayed here for one night over new year coz couldnt find hostel accomodation. It's pretty reasonable for a double ensuite room so not bad if you want to treat yourself to a break from dorms for a night!

Comments: This place is only 2mins from Kings Cross and the station there. The staff let me go straight into the room when I arrived at 8am which was great and I could even see the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge in the distance from my window! Thank you!
