| Comments: The web site talks about climatisation and many services but there is none of them. Also cleaning and painting are necessary. I'm dissapointed. |

| Comments: LOCATION LOCATION! Kensington market is literally on your doorstep. for that i give College Hostel some credit.
I would recommend only for 1 night stays if nothing else is available.
The rooms are well sized but on the 4th floor, with no air con, it was a sauna!! Security? We had to leave the door open so we didn't suffocate!
The kitchen was very dirty! |

| Comments: A no-frills sort of place, but very clean/well-kept. The local scene can get kind of loud until all hours of the night, but if you can sleep through that, it\\\'s no trouble. No reason I wouldn\\\'t stay again. |

| Comments: The private double room was perfect for a young couple, even had a small balcony of it's own. The location is very near the university and Kensington Market and has free parking. Also near the best breakfast in town at Maggi's (400 College St.!!) |

| Comments: Staff is nice... but I stayed in better hostels. It's nice the free parking... main main issue was with the shower... with no regulation... and too hot! The room was for 6... but there were 7.. one guy sleeping on the floor. If you want just a place to sleep... not too bad. |

| Comments: Only comment would be that it could use a room/closet to store luggage if you want to pick up your luggage later in the day after you check out. They currently use the office for this purpose which is less secure (not to mention has virtually no room). |

| Comments: There are definately cheaper, cleaner and more fun hostels in Toronto than this one. The girls toilets don\'t lock. A man came in once when I was in there. The rooms smell bad and there is no air conditioning but DON\'T OPEN THE WINDOWS because a squiral got into the room and into my belongings, tearing a hole in one of my bags. You can stay at places for $1.00 more a night that have a better, safer location and a much more fun atmosphere. |

| Comments: Excellent neighborhood and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The bathrooms could have been a little cleaner but on the whole it wasn't bad. Would stay there again. |

| Comments: This place was very average. Don't go expecting a comunal area where you can meet people. The location is kinda cool, and if your going with a few friends would be ok. But for the solitary traveller, not ideal. It was weird. Why give us two sheets, a pillowcase but no blankets? I want a blanket dammit! |

| Comments: For 60$, I was not expecting the best room ever but at least a minimum. They were holes in the walls, the room was smelling bad, the carpet was disgusting and the curtain was half not there so people can see in the room from other balconies. |

| Comments: My booking was for three nights for two people in a two be dorm but whoever had taken the reservation somehow read two as one. However all was alright because they put us into into a room with two double beds for the first night and then into are normal room. |

| Comments: Cockroaches on the floor, felt very dirty and run down. The only good point would be its location as its near a funky part of town. |

| Comments: If I could give a very very poor on cleanliness I would. The rooms where really dirty, the kitchen filthy and unhygenic and there was an overall smell. The only saving grace is the area. |

| Comments: Beds comfortable and staff friendly enough, but didn\'t really have much of an atmosphere in the hostel. From both the outside and in it felt a little like a soviety era bunker. Not bad for the price, but other hostels seem to offer so much more for the same money. |

| Comments: The doors to the rooms do not automatically lock, so they were pretty much always being left open by roommates. The lockers in the rooms were out of commission.
The carpets were old and in dire need of replacement. One of the showers didn't work so we had to take turns.
Free parking is supposedly reserved for private rooms only, though there is municipal parking within 2 blocks for $11/day.
The location is excellent. There are many shops and indie restaurants on the same street and the blocks surrounding the hostel. The location is within a couple kilometers of everything worth seeing and there are no "low-life" in the area, I would consider it very safe.
Overall, I would probably consider staying at this place in the future. The value is unbeatable. |

| Comments: this hostel had so many less amenities then most i have been too. they did not give a towel with the sheets, the lounge/common area was almost hidden. and the staff was very nice but not very helpful. we tried to check in way early but our beds weren't ready. not big deal, but the desk guy could have suggested some places for us to wait or nap. and the parking is very tight and limited. and having no one at a 24hour desk does make it difficult to check out early. i wouldn't stay there again unless i had to. you get what you pay for i guess... |
