Also, the Mestre train station is less than 5 minutes away which made it really easy for us to catch our train to florence. [thank god, too, because we overslept] the staff is helpful and the rooms are more or less clean. its what you'd expect from a hostel. i would definitely stay here again.

My only complaint is the mosquitos were horrid, I got bitten nearly 22 times, and I killed about 8 in one night. Other than that good hotel!

However, nothing was lost. The rooms were cleaned everyday, with free soap and shampoo provided. The directions are easy to follow only if you go down the stairs to mestro in the middle of the platform in the train station, and not at the extreme end. This road is nearer too. I would definitely stay here again if I come to Venice again.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating Australia 25th September 2008 Male 18-24 2/5 Comments: not a bad location for the price, and dinner at the trattoria round the corner was great. but the place itself sucked a fair bit.. no lockers, unhelpful, cold staff, showers that didn't close properly so there was water all over the floor, pretty crappy conditions. but DO go to venice, even if you have to stay here (it is rather cheap), because venice really is magic

Directions are good but at one point the road forks and we got a little lost ... Locals are very friendly and happy to help anyone in need! Very clean and homely, and the staff are friendly enough and always around. No lockers but you get your own keys for the rooms.

You may be surprised at the long-sentence direction of this hostel.This doesnt mean the way to hostel is compricated.Just in details,you will see.Around the hostel is almost nothing.Do everything in Venezia and come back to sleep.Staffs are nice.

It would have been really nice if there was a BREAKFAST included in the price. This would have made it more affordable and accommodating. By the way, it is NOT 5 minutes walk from the train station. I tried it several ways and I am a fast walker, and still could not do it under 7,5 minutes!!!

The rooms are comfortable and clean. It's near venice mestre train station which is good but it's not a place you can socialise and meet people in.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating Australia 3rd September 2008 Female 18-24 4/5 Comments: was really good was expecting a single bed in a room by myself got a double bed and i got my own bathroom when i was expecting to share. really easy to get to the train station to get off the mainland and to venice. lots of tv channels too not that i could understand but it was still cool. definitely recommend going here.. plus internet was really cheap like 2 euros an hour and on the island of venice its about 7 euros. so yeah a really good stay if you don't want to get ripped off!

The hostel itself is in a very dodgy area, unless you like prostitutes on your doorstep! Few shops around the hostel, very hot in rooms and squeaky bunk beds. Not recommended.
