Its the most easy location to find in Malaga. Just in the main street with the main busstation. The rooms and the beds are very small. The reception speaks English and is very friendly. The problem is that the hostel is on the thrid floor and everytime you want to enter the hostel, you have to ring the bell downstairs and on the third floor. If you're close to the reception, you hear the bell ringin all the time

My only complaint was that the shower heads in both of the bathrooms were broken. Other then that I would recomend this hostel to anyone, it really helped make our vacation special.

The only thing that is a little bit annoying is the fact that after 8 in the evening you need to call the reception to let you inside the building. We recommend this hostel for everyone that wants to spend 3-4 days in Malaga at a good price and location.

The only downside was that there was a 12am curfew, and that they did not let you take your key, so you have to buzz up very time you return to the hostal.

They send us to a completely different hotel and said that was where we should stay. They accepted the hostel.com booking, but vewry strange to put us i an different hotel. We had booked with private bath, which I dont think even exists in the original Hostal Larios.....but we got on in the hostel they put us in....very strange and has not put more faith in the concept of hostel.com bookings in advance!

I found it somewhat awkward since everytime, I left the room the reception was watching me. The room was also very small and faced the main street which kept me up most of the night. I think the hostal is good, however, I would not recommend Room No.2.

The rooms have a cosy atmosphere though and are very clean, bathroom's on the corridor but very clean as well. If you don't speak spanish, you're kind of left to body language since none of the mid aged personnel speaks any english. Quote: "Habla ingles? - Hablo espanol, aqui es Espana"

Everything looked so clean and reasonably new, the bedroom was daily cleaned and the stuff helped us everytime we need it. As its not a backpackers don't expect a lot of fun but if you are looking for a decent place for a reaonable amount of money this is your place.

Also, to get into the hostel you must wait outside and be buzzed up (they lock the outer door), and then wait again at the enterance on the 3rd floor to be let into the hostel proper. On one hand, very secure (at least superficially), but on the other hand--incredibly annoying and unnecessary. Also, they start to clean the hostel too early and too loudly for my taste. Beds were comfortable. No WIFI.

"Fun" category better applied to youth hostels. I appreciate somewhere like this (single room) to crash and wish they had more basic hotels like it in GB. Love the "hostal" system.
