The noise was terrible...there was supposed to be a no noise policy after 11pm which no one took any notice of. The location was really bad...nearest shops were a good walk away. The cleanliness was not good..the bathrooms were filthy. Definately not recommended if you are staying in Townsville

They allow the noise to continue all night. There were broken beer bottles and cigarette butts everywhere. They stuffed up my reservation. The kitchen was bereft of equipment to even make a coffee. No mugs. Not a good impression.

People were shouting, banging things, playing music until at least 7am. There are signs up saying after 11pm is quiet time but there must not have been anyone around to enforce it. Nightmare.

It doesnt make for a very enjoyable stay. It is very clean and the staff were helpful, but if they keep accepting those guests they will keep getting low ratings.

Bathrooms were really clean and good showers. My room had a funny smell that did nt leave even when the window was opened. the matress on the beds was just sponge and looked old and dirty. Kitchen is really big but looks really empty. Unfortunately you have to get plates etc from reception, not good if you need anything before reception opens, but since guests were stealing them, I can see the point. Like to say that the English girl working on reception when I arrived was really friendly and helpful.
