| Comments: Osbourne Hotel is a very functional hotel. The rooms are a very decent size, our room had a double bed, two chairs and still had room to spread out our stuff. The shower was good, and plenty of towels were provided. The location is good, 5 mins walk from the centre of Edinburgh. My only warning on this hotel is to avoid getting a room overlooking the main road. Traffic is heavy and noisy from 7am onwards and the windows are only single glazed. |

| Comments: Great place to stay for people who like it calm. Very central, all the atractions are in walking-distance. We (my daughter 6 years old & me) liked the Osbourne Hotel und we would stay there again. |

| Comments: Ask for a room not facing the York Place street. The traffic noise and Sea Gulls fighting and squawking over spilled garbage in the street woke me up at 5am!!!!!!!!!!!! You can't even imagine the noise they can make!!!!! |

| Comments: Real bargain for the price.
Reasonable chocies for breakfast. Rooms were clean and with all the basic needs catered. The shower was a bit tricky though, got to try a few times to know how to use it. |

The traditional buffet breakfast is excellent- one of the best that I have had. Room is big too. |

| Comments: The hot water took a few minutes to reach the shower head but otherwise no problems with the room. The only issue for me is security - the door has a decent lock but you leave the key at reception and when I returned a member of staff just handed over the key when I asked for it without confirming my identity; in fact he initially handed over someone else's key. I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving anything of value in the room but otherwise this is a good budget hotel I'd use again. |

| Comments: This may have been an enjoyable stay if it was not for two major issues I had. #1 - The lock for the room I could never unlock, the key would just continually turn around in the lock, every time I wanted to get into my room I had to walk down 3 flights of steps to get someone to do it for me, and every time I got told it was an old lock and that is what they are like - not an acceptable response. #2 I got extremely bad stomach bug one night and was in need of something to try and sort it out. I went down to the 24hr reception to ask where the nearest 24 hr Pharmacy was and was told that he did not speak English, and could not help me. Instead of extending my stay and upgrading to a room with an Ensuite, I instead went back upstairs and packed my bag and had a taxi called and the Taxi took me to a Pharmacy and I found somewhere else to stay |

| Comments: The only real disapointing factor was the very strong stale smell of food in passage ways which we understood came from the eatery next door. |

| Comments: The bed and pillows are one of de worst I never have seen.
The Staff is really great people and very polite.
The floor with rooms 10X is a little bit claustrophobic. |

| Comments: If you want somewhere cheap and clean to store your bags and sleep while superbly close to beautiful Edinburgh, this is the place for you. Rooms on York Pl can be loud - ask for one off the street. Breakfast could be improved with the provision of fruit and healthy cereal! |

| Comments: Great value for money! The location is pretty good - in the New Town, near quality bars and restaurants, etc. Edinburgh is such a compact (and excelent!!) city, that the sights of Old Town are short, and pleasant, walk away. Recommended. |

| Comments: A very clean and friendly hotel, with an excellent breakfast included in the price. a smell of fried chicken in one of the corridors from the shop below, but this smell does not penetrate into the rooms. would certainly stay at the Osbourne hotel in the future. |

| Comments: This is a place where you get what you pay for. Our room did smell of fried chicken and they were happy to change the room to one without the smell after one night. If you think you can stand the smell, this is not a bad place to stay in! |

| Comments: They do not understand the concept of shared bathrooms. 1 toilet for an entire floor probably isn't enough. The breakfast wasn't too good, either. |
