It's in Glenelg which is a 30 min tram ride from Adelaide town/station (but only costs around $2.40 in off-peak to get there! Literally glenelg (beautiful) beach is 100m away, and it's a 1 min walk around the corner into Glenelg's square - full of shops, cafe's, restaurants and bars. Best thing about the hostel is that there's SINGLE BEDS rather than bunks... which is a nice change!!! Hostel and staff all fab. Definitely recommended!!!

The place also stays nice and cool during the day while it gets hotter and hotter outside. The only thing I'd say is that there is a bar downstairs so don't expect quiet sleeps in the weekend.

Clean, Fun, no bunk beds, decent free breaky (for three hours!!?) we met so many great friends here, we booked in for one week and ended up staying nearly a month! Thank's everyone at the GBH, the staff do make the difference!

Really relaxed and friendly people who were willing to help me out, as it was my first time in Australia I really appreciated this! The bar downstairs was great on the weekends with live music and meeting locals and other travellers. I must say it was very clean also. Really cool place overall.

The staff were unwilling to listen to any details in this regard. The second night was just as bad but the noise consisted of yelling and loud music ubtil 4:30 am and again the staff just did not want to hear anything about it.

My only problem was I didn't get any sleep, as the bar downstairs is incredibly loud until at least 3am every night. Not to mention the drunk girls charging around the hostel throughout the night shrieking and banging on doors. If that's your kind of fun, then yeah, I guess this place was fairly happening. I like a party, but I like to be able to go to sleep if Idon't feel like partying.

I was told it would be open on Thursday but it wasn\'t. There is no internet access? I don\'t know why they advertise this. You can book free time in the Library in Glenelg though. Rooms were very cold in July. Had to use sleeping bag too. But overall a good hostel. Comfy bed. I\'d say in the busier season it\'s a great place to stay. Glelelg was dead this time around though. Need to go to the city for a lively bar
