We recomend to visit this hotel in autumn.
The newest rooms are really comfortable.

| Comments: This is a fine place to stay for a family with a car but for students traveling/backpacking this is a NIGHTMARE! Stay in Munich instead and make Fuessen a day trip because they can have a car come and pick you up, but only until 6 at night....and there is nowhere to go around the hotel (and you pay for the car)...read this is not a hostel, even though it is cheap it is MAJOR headache!! They do not answer emails or calls...do not waste your time! |

| Comments: This Hostel/lodge is around 20 minutes away from Fussen but is ideal if you need to escape from the Cities/towns.
Located next to a lake, fantastic scenery. Room very clean, no TV or hair dryer and not much to do in the evening.
Breakfast was very good.
Excellent value and a place not to be forgotten!! |

| Comments: This hotel adequately met all our needs, though accomodations were very basic. Our room had no carpet and we slept in a basic bunk bed, but everything was very clean. The staff was amazingly helpful and there was free internet. The view outside made up for the basic accomodations inside. The only tip I'd give is be sure you have adequate directions before you come. We searched for a long time in the dark and when we did find the hotel, the word Ferienanlage is not on the sign -- just Seehotel Schwalten. Enjoy! |

| Comments: This was an amazing hostel. It was extremely clean and comfortable. The morning breakfast was very enjoyable and delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was slightly out of the way from our final destination - Neuschwansten, however, we had a car so that was not a problem.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is visiting this region. |

| Comments: Wonderful location. Marvellous sightseeing. The weather was also perfect so it was idyllic everything.
Be careful, you have to find the place before 18.00 because later you have to take in account to ask for a code. This is one of the most recommendable places I have ever been. |

| Comments: my key has been taken other guests at night, so we had to spend all the night in the car. NO compensation NO discount for us because of this case . The "other guests" enjoyed our room if it wouldn't happened anything, no charge for them or anything. Is it usual to stole the others room???????!!!!! |

| Comments: Comment more to the hostelwordl than to the hostel itself - there should be note on your webpage that their reception is open till 6pm. Why was I given possibility to choose coming at 9pm then? |

| Comments: this hotel was in a beautiful setting by the lake. our rooms were big and clean. the staff were very helpful and friendly. the location was close to what we wanted to see but luckily we had a car as it would of been very difficult without. it was ,in the middle of no where, so it was relaxing but nothing was around ie shops, bars, etc. but perfect for our weekend of excape.... |

| Comments: We loved everything about this place!! We loved our stay and wished to stay longer. The location is fantastic, the atmosphere is lovely... We STRONGLY recommend this place to anyone. The only catch - make sure you go on a day when the busses are running or you have your own car, as it's a LONG (though charming) walk from the train station in Seeg! |

| Comments: I enjoyed my stay at this hotel very much. I loved the location as it was right next to the Alps and the scenery was awesome. The staff at the hotel were very freindly and accomadating and the rooms were very nice and very clean as well. I have to say that my stay at the Seehotel Schwalten has been the best experience i have had at a hotel |

| Comments: The Ferienlage Seehotel is NOT at Fussen! Had we gone to Fussen we would have been 20km away from the hotel with no chance of finding it as the address is not recognised on map finder! Not great! |

| Comments: Staff were nice & helpful. Rooms are big and very clean! Free WIFI service is another benefit to us! The shuttle bus guy is very helpful and nice! However, it is very far away from Fussen and have to catch the last shuttle bus before 5pm or otherwise you need to take taxi at 30Euro from Fussen station. And there is nothing around there so you spend ur whole night with nothing to do after 5pm. It would be much better if they can offer shuttle bus service at later times. |

| Comments: Nice little place, clean rooms, nice staff, but if your without a car you might be looking for another place, but the staff will carry you to the train station from 9 to 6. But we got out around 8 o'clock at night and couldn't find a restaurant to eat it's in the middle of nowhere, but a Beatiful site. |

| Comments: beautiful location, just very far away from the train station. specially if the train doesnt stop in seeg, there are no taxis there, but if you end in fussen and take a taxi it is very expensive. but if you have a car it is great. very very beautiful and clean, great breakast. |

| Comments: This hotel is very clean and very good price but NOT the place where foreign tourists, who want to go to Fussen, should stay.
It's not close to station of Seeg and it's almost impossible to get taxi at Seeg station(Very very small station, nothing).
The hotel offers bus transportation service but only 9:00~17:00 weekday.
So, unless you have a car and are familar with driving in Germany, you should not reserve this hotel.
(The area is really countryside and there are no lights and very dangerous to drive!)
They offer towels. And if you are lucky, your room will be on the lake, very nice view! |

| Comments: We enjoyed our stay here very much. It's outside of Seeg about 4km, and there are no taxis around. We walked it everyday, but apparently a ride can be arranged from the trainstation. It's in a beautiful location and we really have no complaints.. we'd recommend this hostel to anyone. |

| Comments: This hotel was nice, serene and beautiful. The staff were nice and friendly. The en suite bathroom was much larger than we had expected. However, you are about 3km from the nearest city (Seeg) where there are a few restaurants but nothing really to do. And you are a further 16km from Fussen. If you have a car this spot is amazing, if you don't then the staff (who were very accomodating) can shuttle you in to Seeg to take the train to Fussen. However the shuttle only runs until 6pm so you have to back by then or you have to walk from Seeg. Which we did at night... I would not recommend it. Slightly scary. |

| Comments: If you are ever in or around Füssen, on your way to see the famed Neuschwanstein castle, or if you just want to experience southern Bavaria, this hostel/hotel is a must. The only downside is that it's 4km from the nearest train station, and with luggage it can be about an hour's walk. It only costs 5 euros to have someone who works there come pick you up..yet the walk from the station in Seeg may well be worth it (maybe something to do after you drop off your bags and want to head back to the train station). You get a first-hand look at the hills, lakes, and wildlife around Schwalten (a "town" of only a few buildings, one of them being the Seehotel). The hotel itself is something out of a painting; if you're lucky enough to get bumped up to the house-part instead of the lodges, the view of the mountains and lake in the morning is absolutely amazing. We couldn't believe that it only cost as much as a regular hostel (around 25 euro per person per night) to stay here. If you have a Eurail pass, it's free to just hop on the regional train that takes to you Füssen in about a half hour, where you can catch a short busride to Hohenschwangau/Neuschwanstein. |

| Comments: This was an awesome little get away castle hotel. It has beautiful views of the mountains and a little restaurant up the road. This is more for a quiet time as there are no shops or houses around, very isolated, in the middle of no-where,great to rest. It is about a 15 min car ride to Fussen to see the castles, I would def stay again. |
