Not that it's Sheila's Hostel's fault. Great location and great character! Would have stayed longer if I'd been in Cork for more days.

MOST IMPORTANTLY-- THERE SHOULD BE NO HOSTEL CONSTRUCTION WORK GOING ON AFTER 9:00 PM. THE NOISE WE HEARD AROUND 10-11 PM WAS EXTREMELY IRRATING AND VERY INCONSIDERATE EXPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE ARRIVED TOTALLY EXHAUSTED AND TRYING TO SLEEP. OTHER THEN THESE THINGS THE HOSTEL RECEIVES AN EXCELLENT RATING.

Great location otherwise, would book again. Cinema is worthless though, if there's someone in there you watch what they want, and last request ends at 11pm.

The Hostel probably works according to the principle many beds on small area? The Hostel does not possess own parking lots, accordingly 2 hours costs 2 euros… (from 8:30 to 18:30) The possitive were the central situation and the friendly personnel.

There are many more hostels in the main drag, all with windows and similar price. There is nothing close by, you have to walk down the hill for anything and even then you are not in the city centre, that involves another ten or fifteen minute walk. We missed out on alot by staying here.

However, the place was noisy all evening (perhaps because it was Saturday night). The other downside was no water pressure or temperature control in the shower.
