Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating - 2nd December 2008 Couple 25-30 2/5 Comments: The rooms are the tiniest I have ever stayed in. It is like jamming 6 people in a cupboard, the beds are skinnier than a single bed with plastic coated thin matresses so you feel the bars on the bottom of the bunk. One pack can fit between the bunks on either side of the room- so no room to move at all. Also no blankets & it is cold in miami at the end of nov. Only 1 working girls toilet upsatirs & only 2 working showers for girls for all the dorm rooms. The place is under construction so expect loud hammering from 8am. Also water is off for 5 hours in the day due to construction from 10.30, however the cleaner decides to clean the bathroom at 10am so she lets noone use it for half an hour, then when you finally get in there you find out they have shut off the water. The staff are rude, & made us sit & wait half an hour to check in, because they had a shift change & needed to count the money in the till. They do not have a printer option available in the hostel for pritning tickets, & they aren't helpful at directing you to an internet cafe. The breakfast is a joke, coffee & toast- I don't really know why they bother to check off your name for that and the kitchen is under construction, so cooking for yourself is not an option at all and we had to throw out our food. There are couple of redeeming features, they have a bar and a free airport shuttle 2 times daily, that will save you a $32+tip taixiride. Overall stay somewhere else, or stay here for 1 night before flying to get the shuttle.

Loud music keeps on playing till late in the night. I guess that this place is meant for very young people who care about fun i.e drinking beer in the common room but are not bothered by the piles of hair blocking up the shower. Beware!

The bar/lounge was a very nice meeting point to meet other travelers. The only negative thing was that it cost $15 a day for parking, just as much as the room.

Only two for all men?! I was lucky leaving at 4:30 A.M. So there were no takers. They take cash deposit for the key and a towel. Why cash? Why not credit card? In the morning, my friend had to argue to get his cash deposit back...Would you believe it? The lady said that the computer is not allowing her to post it and would it be OK for you just "go away"? Wow, well we insisted and got it back but it took 15 min. So make sure you have enough time to go through the "process" or you will miss your flight.

Personally I thought this Hostel was great. $11 bucks a night free breakfast, cool staff, and everyone was friendly. They were renovating the place but like I say it will be awesome in a few weeks.

I understand the fact that a small room with 8 people sleeping should always have some air running, but it should never be directed to people's bodies, especially when we're sleeping. Besides this, the Hostel is very nice and really well located.
