Phil and Helen went out of their way to make it a holiday to remember. The scenery from the villa is breathtaking and the apartment was perfect for our stay. Had great fun lounging by the pool, drinking Competa wine, playing with Jake the labrador...Had a great last night out with Phil, Helen and Co. in a quiet pub in the village. Would highly recommend Villa Andalucia for a quiet, relaxing break, however if you want to use this as your base, for travelling around the region, we would recommend hiring a car. They have an awesome villar and a little slice of paradise. It is a wee way from Malaga and really high up in the hills which once you arrive is beautiful (although if you have a queezy stomach the drive is a bit rough). Very peaceful - but if you did want to party the town offers some cool bars.

The room is very nice, you will have access to a shared kitchen. Also, you may have breakfast, use the washing machine, Internet or barbeque -each at a charge.

Competa is beautiful and it was great to see a less touristy side of Spain. The view from the villas is unbelievable. Great value for money and the owners were so helpful, we felt like we were staying with family (they speak English too). As soon as we got there we asked to stay longer than we had planned. It is about an hour and a half from Malaga by bus but worth the trip. We spent most our time by the pool just relaxing, if you go during July and August there is more to do with the local towns having their ferias.

Its a slow, 30 min drive up and down to the hill, but its worth it. The view is stunning, the place is lovely, the hosts are great. Their dogs are adorabel. (If you're not into partying all night, watch out for dates of the feria in the village - usually its the end of july - because it is loud and can ruin your sleep. It was really loud.) The pool is gorgeos, be sure to take a swim during the night with the view of the hills and the sea.
