| Comments: We enjoyed our 6-night stay at the Bicycle hotel. We had a double room with shared bathroom, and only had to wait to shower once during this stay, so it worked well. All the facilities worked and were maintained, including the internet access, and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet too. We intended to hire bikes but didn't in the end - we are avid walkers and found we could get everywhere we needed to by foot. The tram is also convenient at the end of the night :) |

| Comments: Nice place! Friendly staff, good breakfast. A little out of the way, but if you rent a bike (and you really should!) it's pretty quick to get where you want to be. |

| Comments: staff were always helpful and friendly. if you want some time to yourself to enjoy what amsterdam has to offer, then this is a great place. pretty cheap for what you get. would recommend it to people, but its not very close to the red light district. |

| Comments: Bicycle hotel was not close to the train station, but you can easily take one of the trams there. There are 4 very narrow flights of stairs and no elevator, but we didn't mind. We had a small room with two twin beds and it had its own sink. We shared a bathroom with the floor, 3 or 4 other rooms, which was fine because we didn't see anyone else on the floor the whole time we were there. The shower didn't drain very well but otherwise was fine. Breakfast was included, it was cereal, juice, coffee, tea, toast, cheese and ham, and an assortment of peanut butter, neutella, jam, and honey. Renting the bicycles was the best way to get around in Amsterdam! The price was very competitive, the cheapest compared to other rentals. One of our bicycles had a slight problem, one of the pedals was loose, so we were able to get another bicycle right away. It if fairly close to the museums and the Heineken brewery, but far from the red light district. We enjoyed staying here though the price was a little more expensive. We might stay somewhere closer to the train station next time. |

| Comments: Really liked the hotel. The staff were very helpfull even when our 4 bedroom room only had & bed in it. Stairs were quite dangerous and the hot water in the mornings was very intermittent. The couple of cold showers were a little disappointing: |

| Comments: Our room was small but quite peasant an dwas clean when we first arrived. However, the room wasn't cleaned once during the five nights of our stay, which lead to an overflowing rubbish bin and dirty floors. The toilets were frequently out of toilet paper which was only replaced each morning. The cold water tap in the shower didnt work and the hot water wasn't always hot. The communa larea for breakfast and internet usage was bright, clean and very pleasant. Most of the staff were friendly, very helpful and informative. However, there was only one staff member on at a time, with frequent changes. Some of the staff members seemed to have little knowledge of Amsterdam and were unable to help with much information at all, including such basics as how the tram system works, etc. One staff member couldn't even provide the password for connecting to the internet within the hotel. In one instance we were given completely wrong advise about how to get where we wanted to go one evening. Fortunately, as it didn't sound right, we didn't take the advise and worked it out for ourselves by making deductions from the transport map.
In all, I thought that it was quite an ok and reaonably pleasant place to stay, but think that if I ever go back to Amsterdam, I would try to find something a bit more central (even though the tram system is pretty good and easy to get around on). |

| Comments: We were a little hesitant about this hotel before we got there but it ended up being a great place to stay. The hotel was just out of the city centre so it was quiet but plenty of nice restaurants and bars around the area. There was a tram just down the road that went directly into town but I would recommend hiring one of their bikes to get about. The staff was very friendly, helpful and easy going. The rooms were basic but clean. I would highly recommend this hotel. |

| Comments: Really nice hostel! Specially the staff is really nice and friendly, the breakfast is also excellent, thanks a lot. It is well located, easy to reach by tram. But If you have knee problems, be carefull: there is no lift and the stairs are too steep!!! Otherwise there isn´t any problem. |

| Comments: a good thirty minute walk from centraal station, in a residential neighborhood. there's a nearby street market that is worth checking out. we paid 60 € / night for a two-bed room. a little expensive, but overall a good experience. |

| Comments: The Bicycle Hotel was awesome. It is in a section of the city that allows you to venture away from the tourist center and see more of where people live but it is still a quick tram away or 25 minutes walking. The staff were nice, breakfast was good, and the room was quality. Great stay altogether....thanks to everyone!!! |

| Comments: Wonderful place. I had a porch outside my room I could smoke on. Very cool staff and very cool people all around. They will make you the best pot of tea and for very cheap. I was only there for a night and if I'm back in Amsterdam I know where I'm staying. |

| Comments: We stayed in a 4 bed private ensuite for 5 nights in October. The rooms were very clean and warm. It was a bit of a squeeze with the four of us with two of the beds being a bunk bed. The only criticism was the top bunk didn't have a safety rail and it was a bit scary for the poor person sleeping up there. The staff were friendly, the tram to the centre of town was really close and it was perfect if you want to get out of the city and do some bike riding although the staff weren't very good at making suggestions and seemed a bit reluctant to rent us a bike. If you can go Mike's Bike tours he takes you all around Amsterdam and out as well - you get to see windmills and some beautiful scenery and his bikes are much better! |

| Comments: the best things about your hotel to me was the cool and relaxing spirit. the staff is laid back and super willing to help, we never feel pressured or insecure.
breakfast was great, and the rooms, although very modest, were very clean and with good natural lighting.
the only suggestion I could make was to have bigger towels available for the shower.
thanks for the great time,
Cristiana |

| Comments: for the price, not bad and the bicycle rentals are only 5 euro a day, but get one early or they're gone. it's a little out of the city center, but once you learn the route it's not bad. the rooms are sparse and the beds not comfortable. the mattresses tend to slip off the frame.
breakfast is included. |

| Comments: the staff was very nice, but I left after the first night to another hotel. I liked the free internet and the bikes provided (the best way to get around in Amsterdam). However, my room was quite small, and the blankets and linens seemed so worn. This was my first time in a hostel, so maybe i was expecting too much. I had a private room...but it just felt kinda dank and cramped. I moved to a more modern hotel, located in the center of everything, with a larger room, and only paid 7 more euros per day. But the Bicycle staff understood, refunded my money for the remaining nights, and wished me well. |
