The hosts were welcoming and the area offers great things to do. Check out the Salzburg info tourist BEFORE going to Radstadt for '7 things to do in Salzburg region' (year-round ice caves, a fantastic castle, etc). Breakfast was "no frills" (cereal and white toast) and if you like the "backerei" (bakery) you might want to opt for the no breakfast option and visit the local merchant for a tasty treat or two.

The skiing was great, but you should look at the bus schedule before you go. We were disappointed to find it was not running while we were staying there. Our hosts were very accomadating though. It was a fun trip.

It's an easy, albeit 90 minute train ride from the Salzburg main station. Besides that, it's in a BEAUTIFUL area, breakfast was great, and the owners were very nice. Like I said, just plan on a little train ride.
