Comments: This place is fantastic thanks to the extremely friendly and helpful staff. Although only one girl understood English they managed to answer all our questions and helped us to find another hotel after we spontaneously had decided to stay longer in Catania. The hotel is very cosy and it turned out to be the nicest place we stayed in during our 2 weeks on Sicily. Highly recommended!

Comments: Pretty nice place to spend your time if you are Catania. I would like to go back to this place. Except for the fact the staff couldn't speak English (well, don't expect anyone to speak good English in Catania) I have no complaints.

Comments: The staff were brilliant, always helpful and had a smile! The rooms were amazing, really big and always clean. The only let down was the location, although it's close to the station it was a 20 minute walk to the main centre of town!

Comments: The staff was incredibly helpful and accomodating. We missed our train and arrived at 3 am, and we still had our room waiting for us! The bedrooms and bathrooms are very nice and clean. Felt very comfortable and safe.

Comments: This was a great budget hostel...we spent three days in Sicily and used Catania as our home base. We were happily surprised by this hotel: the staff was very friendly and helpful, the (free!) breakfast was great, the location was good, and the rooms were clean. This was a GREAT deal for the price and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Sicily!

Comments: The area of Catania itself wasn't much to look at, but there was cheap food everywhere and a movie theater for 3 euro. The guy at the front desk was immeasurably helpful. We asked him if there was a movie theater close by and he mapped out ten for us and handed us the showtimes. It was close to the bus station and about a ten minute walk to the historical part of Catania, a perfect location for a home base if you want to travel to nearby parts of Sicily.

Comments: I greatly enjoyed my stay at Hotel San Michele Inn. The staff was so incredibly helpful. When we asked for a recommendation on movie theaters in the area, the man at the front desk mapped out and numbered the theaters with coordinating movie times numbered on the back. He also let us stay in our four person room instead of moving into two two people rooms. The room we had was a bit chilly at night and noise carries through the hallways but I was very impressed by this hotel, the staff made the stay and I expected to pay double the price for a place like this.

| Comments: We thought that this was a very nice, comfortable and friendly place to stay. The rooms are very nice and clean. Very close to the main station only 10~15 min walk up the main street. Dirrectons are a little comfusing as you don't need to take the bus, so when you come out of the station walk staright vearing to the left til you get the main rd.( Viale della Libertà ), walking past the bus staions (to your right) go straghit up until you get to number 91. Will have to buzz yourself in, and its up the very top floor. Enjoy your stay, as we did.
only thing is there is no breakfast included as it says it does on the site. |

Comments: San Michele Inn was so nice and in a perfect location. The people on staff were extremely inviting, making a point to learn each of our names, helping us make reservations for an Etna tour, and giving us great advice on dining and shopping. I would DEFINITELY recommend staying here!

Comments: Nice room, clean and staff with dog are friendly. There are no internet and lift, located on the second floor though. And Sundays have no breakfast, which was annoying for us. The atmosphere is not so bad, several cafes are nearby, getting the coach and train station, also city centre takes half an hour for each.

Comments: Very nice room - very high ceilings in an old building. Unfortunately I couldn't speak to the staff in Italian. So I didn't understand that breakfast was in the bar downstairs (a great neighborhood place with excellent pastries, etc.) The first morning I left early for a Mt. Etna excursion and what looked like the breakfast room was empty. The second morning I was given a business card and really enjoyed the experience.
