The hostel needs a lot of repair, it has been left and has a lot of things wrong. the staff dont speak English, no problem, buy a phrase book they cost 10 euro and contain 2000 phrases, But overall if this place had some decoration it could be nice, the bathroom you have to share with up to 6 other rooms, so be aware, the location is ok though. Do not expect too much ! :-)

The small road that runs by the hostal produces a lot of traffic, especially late at night. It was impossible to take a decent shower as the water was either scolding hot or freezing cold. I killed a huge cock roach in the bathroom on the first night we were there. The dead bug was still on the floor when we checked out, 2 nights later. Spend a couple Euros more for a better place!

It doesn\'t have dorms, and doesn\'t put on activities for backpackers, no communal kitchen, tv room etc...It\'s a quiet pension with private rooms and a shared bathroom, which if that is what you\'re looking for is absolutely fine. Good location, in a great old street with cool tiles everywhere... My room was cleaned every day and the bathroom was clean too. Highly recommended for people who are looking for that kind of thing.

After staying here, all three of us became incredibly ill and stayed sick for the remainder of our trip even when we went to another city. After 10 minutes of being in the room, I sat down on the bed and it broke under me - it was replaced by a cupboard that had a pullout cot which was too small for the mattress. We purposefully planned our days so we could spend as little time as possible in our hostel - there were also no amenities to speak of and one day we were even without toilet paper for a while! Unacceptable!

I consider it average, but there is a fantastic huge supermarket very near by, located in the basement of the big builidng at Plaza de Armas. It was clean, the man who worked there was nice, it was decently located and it was inexpensive. Perfect to use as a crash pad, though a 15-20 minute hike from where all the night time action is...

There was a private bathroom which was in good condition. Also, there was a sink and urinal in the room which was an added bonus (although my girlfriend wouldn't actually let me use the urinal in the room). The location is nice because it's very close to the shopping area, and the river where everyone hangs out.

Hostel desperately needs to be refubrished. On top of all you can hear in your room every single mermur from the outside of it so you feal like sleeping on the corridor.
