Comments: We had to spend the first two nights at another location because of renovation works being made at our West Ham apartment. This first place in Hainault was not clean and the bedroom, too small for a family of four. Then, we enjoyed our week long stay at West Ham in a large house just for us four, and the nearby restaurants; Apart from a problem of cleanliness (bathroom tub and floor)at the first apartment, we enjoyed our stay in West Ham, and especially the indian cooking.

Comments: This little house now has two bathrooms (one brand new), so it is now similar to the Hainault property Jey also owns (also in Trav). Both houses she owns, which are cheaper than staying in-town (which kinda pays for your Oyster or Travelcard) are over 1/2 hour by tube from central london plus an 8-minute walk. The main problem with this is, aside from not being able to return in the middle of the day to relax, is that you MUST catch the last train around Midnight or you will be on a NightBus which takes an hour (plus the walk, which at East Ham would usually be a quick bus ride instead). If, however, you are commuting like a regular working person, the locations are acceptable and, thus, for a longer-term stay are worth the savings of about 20GBP per night ($60 versus $100 for rooms in-town for three). For short-term Americans, though, it may not be worth it. There were also some bugs at the East Ham location... Keep the kitchen light on. But nothing in any other room and nothing bad at the Hainault house except the weird shower that should be upgraded. Nice to have laundry at both, however, and they are in nice quiet neighborhoods. Jey and her assistants are very nice but the houses need some work done. Make sure you know how the keys work and where the WC is before you part as you will only see them once. Also, make sure you have exact maps of how to get to the houses before you leave home or you will not find them.

Comments: We were very unsatisfied with this hostel/apartment!! We were awoken at around 8.am by workers. breakfast in the kitchen was impossible as the workers took most of the space..had to use the tv-table in the livingroom as there were now table there. while eating workers were passing by with buckets of sand/cement. they had big white "sheets" on the floors not to spill sand which is normal.... on a work site, but not in a operative hostel. Pay us our money back and we might write a new review..
