We left an item behind and he will send it to us. We were given breakfast the first daybut decided to do uor own tihg after that as we like to be out early in the morning.

They were also very helpful about telling us about concerts and informing us about vaporetto routes. Very reasonable priced accommodation for Venice. Thank you.

It is hard to find and the man at reception was very moody to say the least. This place is a few hundred metres from Cafe Blue - the cheapest bar I have ever been to in Europe and the cocktails were the best.

On arrival I was told I could only stay for 1 night and that I would be transfered to another hotel for the 2nd night because Al Gallo was overbooked. I was transfered to Hotel Isis which was HORRIBLE!!!! It was very ugly with old furniture and very unfriendly staff. I paid good money for Al Gallo because it had character, I was transfered to a dump. I am very upset with Al Gallo staff.

We thought breakfast was included however when we got there it wasn't. The owner is padantic about everything but he's OK to get along with. The rooms are cleaned every day and there's airconditioning and a fridge in the room. Good value for money!

This confusion caused us a lot of problems. However the Al Gallo we eventually found was so wonderful we gave the owner a bottle of wine in appreciation.

Because location is incorrectly marked on the trav website we had to call the owner and he picked us up from piazza le roma. Holet itself is very quite and have lots of character! its not fare from bus stop and very very clean. We had a great time!

It´s tucked away in a quiet little spot but very easy to get to all of the great sights of Venice. Safe, extra clean, shared bath was spotless, new and never a problem. Charming Venetian decor. Simple breakfast. (we opted to skip it and go to some of the great local cafes) A terrific bargain. Highly recommended.
