| Comments: Very very very noisy! The noise from the nightclubs outside is intolerable and lasts until gone 3am.
No free evening meal either. |

| Comments: Location great if you can cope with the noise from the pubs and clubs neighbouring the hostel. Rooms are very dusty and floors are cracked, plumbing seems bad. Needs a full refurbishment really. |

| Comments: The only problem was it rained a couple of times when we were there and there is no inside eating area. Also had a good night sleep couldnt hear any noise from surrounding pubs. |

| Comments: They said there would be free dinner but there wasn't. They also said there was free breakfast...but all it was, was cereal (no milk) and bread... I liked the fact though that they had rooms that slept 3 people...like a motel room. |

| Comments: There is not much going on in Townsville. The location is close to the ferry terminal to get to Magnetic Island, but not much in the way of bar, restaurant and nightlife. The hostel was not very clean, although many younger people here are not good at cleaning up after themselves in the kitchen. Overall it was adequate but nothing special. |

| Comments: Townsville is a bit of a dead place to be honest, and from the looks/sounds of things this hostel is the best of a bunch. A bit dirty though - when I checked into my room well into the afternoon it hadn't been cleaned from the last people - some of the beds were unmade and the bin was overflowing. Also, there was piles of dirt/dust all over the floor. Rooms were nice though - TV and ensuite! |

| Comments: As was expected because of the location, it was quite noisy. The kitchen was pretty messy and we tended to stay away from the communal food, but that was because of the other quests. The free dinners are good, small portions and typical pub food, but hey it was free - not a good idea for vegetarians though
Would definately reccommend gloebtrotters for people travelling on a budget or those wanting to meet new people every day.... |

| Comments: A big atmosphere decreaser was the owner/manager couple who treated us like it was our fault that the hostel was dirty and pool table was broken all though we had just arrived. Reseption girl was nice and helpful but the manager couple very rude. |

| Comments: We stayed in a 4 bed dorm for 25 dollars and we really thought it wasn't worth the money, the door to the bathroom didn't close, the room looked dirty! The beds were clean though and the breakfast and free dinner were allright.. |

| Comments: Dodgy, sparky(!) electrics, take care.
The best thing about this place was the cheap, fast internet, just $2 perhour.
However you don't have to stay here to use it, |

| Comments: The "free dinner" is a bit of a joke. A tiny, tiny bowl of cold pasta in tomato sauce hardly qualifies as far as I'm concerned.. Apart from that, we have no complaints. The place has no real character to speak of, but it does its job. |
