Paula, who runs the bed and breakfast with a smile and grace that is truly exceptional, was always willing to offer advice on restaurants, cafes, bars and routes around what is an exceptionally beautiful city. I will be studying at the University here for the next 10 months, and I don\'t think I could have had a better introduction or base camp - my first days in Verona could hardly have been more comfortable or enjoyable; coming back to such a haven of peace and quiet every night was a real godsend. The bed and breakfast is spotless - with furniture and decoration picked out and put together with a keen eye for style and detail with a vast breakfast every morning at exactly the time you ask for it. The location of Porta Vescovo is ideal - a 10 minute walk from the University and only 15 from the Centro Storico (the beautiful city centre with vast squares such as the Piazza Bra and Piazza Erbe); Verona is a city small enough to appreciate by foot yet Porta Vescovo is just offset from the real hub, meaning that, when you\'re done visiting the plethora of churches, galleries, museums or osterie (wonderfully priced taverns that do two really hearty local courses for around 14 euros), you can cut away from the crowds and into the serenity of Porta Vescovo. I\'d recommend Paula\'s bed and breakfast to anyone wanting to visit this incredible part of Veneto, as, despite the beauty of the city itself, you might just find yourself smiling at the prospect of a really restful night\'s sleep and a steaming cup of coffee waiting for you in the morning.

The apartment is kitted out in good taste, simple but with all we needed. We shared a bathroom with the room next door which was no problem at all. The location is a pleasant walking distance from the center making for an interesting walk and feeling like one of the locals. Would definitely come again!

We were met enthusiastically by the owner who was probably the nicest woman I have ever come into contact with, into one of the nicest little apartments I could have wished to have stayed in. The apartment is easy to fins and it takes only 15 minutes to get into the centre if walking. It's also right next to main bus stops and 10 minutes walk from the train station. It was a pleasure to stay here and I thoroughly recommend it.

The decor is so funky and the lady who runs it is so....nice and friendly. The location is just a 15 min walk into the centre of verona and theres plenty of buses if not. It is a small place and I believe there was just one other person staying at same time as us. I would highly recommend this B&B
