| Comments: Lovely hostel, really clean and with helpful staff.
Located in the city centre, just in front of the port.
Living in the old city of Bari today looks like 3 or 4 centuries ago...
Amazing! |

| Comments: No staff when I arrived; phoned, was told there would be someone in five minutes. Waited 40 minutes in dark alley at night; police waited with me - said it was a bad area. Guy who arrived was rude, yelled at me, blamed me for being late. Room had no security, not even a door. Sheets - 2 euro fee extra - were made of paper like what you would find at the dentist. Blankets were mattress pads. Girl who arrived with me had no res. somehow her bed was cheaper even though we were in same room. |

| Comments: I made a booking through Hostel World & the owner wasn't even there. One of the other girls staying there had to check us in. It is down a little alley way that doesn't feel very safe.
Also, I emailed the owner to ammend my booking but to date have not had a response!! In the end I just cancelled my original booking (& therefore my deposit) and placed a new one.) |

| Comments: Very poor hostel, in precarious conditions, not intended for long stays. At least the guy in charge speaks English - that a big plus concerning italians. |

| Comments: Awesome hostel... close to the port. If you\'re getting off the ferry beware that the hostel is completely closed between 11 and 5. Breakfast is basically cereal and juice but there\'s a coffee shop right outside. Clean rooms... huge warm shower room :) sweet. |

| Comments: Well, I was never allowed to check in. My train and bus were delayed and made me get there around 11:30pm on Sunday. I called and the owner told me tough luck, even though on weekends they have on the board you can check in until midnight. Luckily the people staying in the hostel were still up and then let me in. I just slept in a bed bcuz i had a reservation. So, eh? |

| Comments: the service at this hostel was horrible. we waited to check in for two hours, only to be told that it was our fault we were a bit early. the next day we waited over an hour to check out because the man running the hostel "forgot." the beds were also very uncomfortable and the sheets (which we had to pay for) were literally see-through disposable things that felt like huge dryer sheets. i highly recommend alternate accomadation! |

| Comments: The directions are pretty difficult, not even the police new where the place was.. When we got there we were waiting for almost 30 mins because there was no one there at reception.. even though it was the time that i said i would be arriving.. Also According to the friendly police it wasnt in the safest area of town. |

| Comments: Unlike the 5 mins from the station, its a half an hour walk, and the bus stop is nowhere near the hostel despite claims from owner. Similar story with the airport which is a 20 min walk to the bus stop followed by a 45 min bus ride. If you can find the bus stop with the owners rather poor directions. You have to pay extra for what are essentially plastic sheets, which you stick to in the extreme heat. No fans. One shower for whole hostel - always a queue. Breakfast left out all day and not much |

| Comments: There is a cooker but no pans to cook with. Also, no cutlery. The stairs leading up to the second floor and the balcony are very steep and not safe if you're returning from a night out.
The hostel keeper was nice, and helpful though. The location is good as it is in the old part of town. As it is the cheapest place in Bari I probably would return if I was on a budget. |

| Comments: the receptionist wasn't at the door when we checked in and never returned my change for the hostel. breakfast was left out all day (so it was stale). there was only one shower for the whole hostel and it wasn't very clean. rooms were very small and you have to walk through the room on the first floor (on a rickety wooden ladder) to get to the second floor. |

| Comments: So just so everyone knows, this hostel is pretty damn hard to find without a map! also breakfast is a joke! one shower and one bathroom..theres no lockers and everyone gets to sleep on creaky old bunkbeds..and the sheets are crappy..and you also have to pay €3 for a towel (he tried to gouge on everything!)..this place is fine if you're just lookin for a place to stay and dont care about the facilities or anything tho... |

| Comments: The hostel was very difficult to find because it is unmarked. It is also 30 minute walk to the train station. No one was there when we arrived, and if there had not been another backpacker there with a cell phone we would never have been able to contact someone. Once we did we had to wait 40 minutes for him to arrive. It is more like one big room because there are no doors and sound carries throughout the building. But, for a connection elsewhere, the hostel served its pupose. |

| Comments: They won't let you stay in the hostel from 10-5 every day. Since many things are closed in the middle of day it can be pretty boring wandering around Bari. Many people had trouble checking in here, you had to call someone to let you in and sometimes they didn't come for hours. |
