Transport should be provided to the metro/anywhere because to walk to the hidden area alone especially at night seems dangerous and is tiring. Receptionist is not friendly. When I came there was a key at the lock of a door for 2 days at the room next to mine. Someone couldve just entered without the staff knowing.

I dont know how often they cleaned the bathroom because the light was broken in the shower room and never fixed (they would have realised if they turned it on to clean).

Although very secure and clean, it is somewhat far from anything good (except for 1 restaurant) considering it walking distance. 1/2 of the staff is very helpful and the other extremely rude and uncaring.

Even though I had a confirmation? In the end we paid full price for our room! Fortunately rthe next day the booking clerk refunded the appropriate $ back to us and apologised for the error. Nice place, clean, secure, but need subways to travel to the heart of Budapest.

It is not very close to the center, but it is just a few minutes walk to the shores of the Danube, and from there you can walk towards the center and admire the buildings on each side of the river. While visiting Budapest, I would not hesitate to chose this hostel. Also, it comes w/ a very big breakfast :)

For this reason, it felt more upscale than your average hostel, but still with hostel rates. It is slightly out of the way, but very easy to get and from. Make sure you get good directions ahead of time. I highly recommend it.
