It was a pleasure to be there after a cold & anonymous staff in Stockholm. Only one item to improve: we had no warm water to wash the last day. However we have experienced a door locking issue and this was immediately solved upon request. Excellent!

But even though, the Montera St. is called "calle de las putas", that means, the street where a lot of "girls work there"... The staff is very nice as well. The breakfast, as the hostel itself, is very simple. I think I payed too much for what it offers.

Location was noisy but was so central that this was unavoidable and not an issue. We hope to return to this hostal again.

Breakfast was great, and the bar/restaurant looked good (was only there for one night). A guy working the desk during the night was grumpy and unhelpful!

But if you want location, this place is right in the middle. Free breakfast is good, but no kitchen facilities if you're after this. We found the key system quite a drag, only one key per room (regardless if you know your room mates), this meant locking the door and handing it into reception everytime and if you are first to bed, you have to let your room mates in whatever time they stroll in.
