Comments: YWCA is indeed a hotel, rather than a hostel, so expect to have your beds done during the day but do not expect the typical 'hip' hostel feeling. Extremely clean and quiet, with nicely equipped kitchen and great location.

Comments: We were an adult family group staying in a smallish but adequate 3 bed room with TV, vanity unit and fridge. Excellently furnished (like a good hotel) and serviced each day. Only 1 toilet and 2 showers on our floor but we found they were always vacant when we wanted to use them. Good kitchen and friendly staff. Would recommend.

Comments: We made the reservation via hostels.com. The confirmation stated that we would only had to pay 81 CAD at our arrival. However, we were charged 91 CAD plus taxes without further explanation. We showed the printed copy of the reservation we had made through the web page, but that didn't make a difference. The price was higher, take it or leave it. We took it anyway.

Comments: Good place to stay, very clean, if somewhat sterile. Had a problem with the reception not recognising the trav booking, but that could have been because we booked late. The WIFI should be free, and I have never before heard of hiring cooking utensils for the kitchen!

Comments: Definately the best hostel I have stayed in - so clean. The only negative would be that a seperate toilet would be wonderful. Would certainly recommend it to others. I moved to a hotel for the start of a tour and it didnt come close to the YWCA. Thanks for a great stay.

Comments: I found this hotel to be fantastic! I read a lot of reviews for different hotels in Vancouver and found this to be the best for what i was looking for. The rate for the twin room was one of the best i found for Vancouver, the room was clean and secure and the location was great (10 minutes walk from the shopping on Robson and Granville Streets and some good food places). The only note i would make is in regards to the information (listed on this site under map and directions) for a bus from the airport. At the airport i was informed the the Charter Bus Lines bus service route has changed and no longer stops at Georgian Court hotel, the closest stop is 8 blocks from the hotel - is this correct? I realise this is not the fault of the hotel, however if this information is accurate, it might be great if it can be updated accordingly in Map and Directions. Thanks for a great stay - I would definatly recommend this hotel and stay again.

Comments: Probably the best value property in our round the world trip. Rooms are cheap but modern, clean with tv and comfortable beds. Easy walk to the main attractions in Vancouver and the staff were really friendly.

Comments: A good value for the location. Check-in was pretty late (2 p.m.), but other than that, a nice quality hostel.

Comments: It bills itself as a "hotel/residence" rather than a hostel - mostly young people studying English and older travelers. Quiet, centrally located downtown.

Comments: this hostel was more like a hotel so it was fab!! v clean and the staff v helpful. It is a little quieter and maybe lacking character because it is a hotel......but if you are looking for a safe, clean and quiet place to stay...this one is for you!

Comments: I was very pleased and surprised to find this hotel to be as good as it was for the price. I only need a clean, secure place in a decent location, but the staff was very helpful and the room better than I expected. I'd definitely go back.

Comments: A large, clean hostel which is more like a motel in style, characterless but in good condition and not a bad price for Vancouver. It's not in the best part of town though and unfortunately our memory of the YWCA was ruined by some terrible advice from front desk which sent us to to the wrong ferry terminal, resulting in a 2 hour bus ride at the other end to get us to where we wanted to be!

Comments: The YWCA was an excellent place to stay during my vacation in Vancouver. The hotel though not very centrally located, was atleast situated in Downtown and a hop away from Robson street -- and thats what matters. Almost all tour buses and transportation have a stop right in front of the hotel. The staff were very polite, and helpful. The place was very clean (I had a semi-private room) and had access cards. If there was one thing I was concerned about, it was the luggage storage room. While it was locked and the key was with the front desk, one could still take your bags along with theirs and obviously the hostel would not be responsible. Some basic checks by the front desk here might be worthy... Otherwise, this is an excellent place, and I would recommed you look no further if you want to stay in Vancouver... happy travels...

Comments: Good stay. Wouldn't like to stay too long in room 611 as the exhaust fumes next door are offputting. Otherwise fine.
