Comments: Great directions and good contact up front from Retty. A nice little guest house in a quiet part of town not too far from the centre - a pleasant walk into town or an easy bus ride straight to the station. It was a nice place to stay.

Comments: We really like the fact that the hostel is in Westerpark, which is more of a quiet, residential part of Amsterdam. It's an easy bus ride into town, and were able to walk to the Westerpark stage to see Radiohead! We had a great stay. Thanks Retty and Josef!!!

Comments: Great breakfast. Very quiet (only 4 small rooms) and could use kitchen at any time. The house keeper was very friendly but spoke little english. We gave him our laundry and all the colour in my clothes ran and everything turned grey. The internet wasn\'t working for our stay.

Comments: manager nice but never makes an appearance-only by phone ,place is run by a guy who cant speak english- acts like he understands he doesnt. the bedsloft style with 35-40 cm from the ceiling, up a semi sketchy ladder, not reccommended for clostraphobes. breakfast is made at 8.30 every morning and left at outside your door,if you want to sleep in its simply just a waste of food.unless you like stone cold eggs. free use of washing machine and dryer are a plus, and i like the kitch stuff around.

Comments: Was a fair way from town, unless you use the public transport. Clean & tidy, but not the best place we have ever stayed. Good for a couple if you want peace & quiet.

Comments: I liked this place because it is quiet and close to where I wanted to be, but if you want to be on vacation I don't recomend it.Staff was nice but they don't speak english very well. The wireless never worked either. But it was very quiet and peacefull.

Comments: Retty was very pleasant to deal with, unfortunately we never actually got to meet her. The guy who was running the place was also very nice but unfortunately there was a major language barrier between us, which caused a couple uncomfortable and confusing circumstances. It would be handy to have someone at the guesthouse who is fluent in english, as it is commonly spoken in Amsterdam, along with dutch.

Comments: Very unconfortable beds just a few centimeters far from the ceiling, poor and cold breakfasts, english not spoken, (not even dutch, german, spanish or so) and a very frigtening welcome letter saying that amsterdam is full of "psychos", don't know why.

Comments: The hostel was basic but clean, however it was quite far out of the centre of amsterdam, and there was nothing to do in the immediate area. Retty was not there, but welcomed us by phone, and although the staff there were helpful, they spoke no english. Lastly, brekfast in bed was a sweet thought, but the fried eggs were cold. All in all, we would not go back but it would be ok for a one-night stop-over.

Comments: Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. Room was tidy. You can reach the important locations of Amsterdam by foot, but its far enough from the center to sleep quietly at night :) The room could get very warm in the summer as you can't realy open the window (basement). Luckily there is a fan in the room.

Comments: kinda looks sketchy at first but owner talks to you about everything and makes you feel more relaxed. they serve the best breakfast i have had in europe at a hostel...eggs, bacon, toast, etc to ur door so that was sweet.

Comments: This B&B is located within (quite long)walking distance of center. Busses and trams from central station come quite close. Stuff is not always there, you need to call the owner if you have questions, so it is best to get your info about town before you come here. Rooms are very clean and are cleaned every day. Breakfast is good with little variation every day. Bed in two persons room is a top bunk bed about 60 cm from roof, so not a good place for claustrofobic person. Walls are paper thin, you can hear everything from next room, so bring good earplugs. Pia & Jari from Finland
