Comments: Good place, calm Catalan area of the town. Little loudy (probably because of thin walls), I was able to hear all my neighbors :D

Comments: TINY room. 3 single beds crammed with no room to move around. TV with cnn and bbc. Noises from the hallway with every door opened, person walking. No window view. Tiny bathroom, but pretty clean. Stained pillowcase, mold on the walls. AC and free wifi. Okay location. Metro and bus close by. 6 eu. for a poor breakfast. Lots of bad restaurants close by.

Comments: The walls are really thin and so is the door of the room. Therefore the TV in the room is limited and can not be turned on as loud as you want. Much depends on the other guests that stay there at the same time. The hotel has 5 floors with quite small halls, so you are very close to your noisy neighbours - we had spanish idiots knocking on EVERY door our floor at night and then chatting and throwing things around. Rest was really ok.

Comments: Don\'t try the breakfast: there is an all-you-can-eat place 5 minutes away from the hotel. It is called Fresh&Free It is conveniently located on Av. de Gaudi on the left side of the street (the Av. de Gaudi goes to Sagrada Familia). The logo has a lemon-green color and is open from 12:30h-24.00h Only the metro station Hospital Sant Pau is near the hotel. Go to this station, not another one (like I did). The room smelled of cigarettes. Location was great: near Sagra

Comments: For an one star hotel it has a lot of luxury (eg. own new comb in the bathroom)

Comments: Great hotel for the price you pay. Close to a couple attractions but quite a walk to the beach. There is the Metro though which is right around the corner. Definitely recommend it.

Comments: Nice, quiet location in Barcelona. Easy trip to Sants train station, near metro and a quick trip to La Rambla. Unfortunately our room was VERY noisy - could hear maintenance and cleaning staff throughout the night as well as other guests in the hotel.

Comments: Not a good hostel to go to if you want to meet people. Also very far from the beach.

Comments: Although a little way out of the town centre it was very easy to find and a straight walk down to tha sagrada familia. We arrived late in the evening but th staff were very helpful and pointed us to a range of places we could go and eat near by. Great value for money compared to our second nights accom in the city!

Comments: We (mother/daughter on a weekendtrip) were very pleaesd with the hotel. Clean and everything we needed(even free internet use). The staff was very helpful with maps, directions etc. The breakfast was not included in the price, but the area have many bars, where you can eat a cheap breakfast. The metro was a 10min walk a way.

Comments: Myself and my girlfriend thought the hotel was very clean, with excellent staff and excellent amenities. However, the walls were very thin and you could hear everything in the next room which meant that we did not sleep at all well. It was good in so many respects, but also noisy.

Comments: Me and my friend booked this the night before we arrived in Barcelona. Because it was so last minute, we assumed that it wouldnt be very nice and had prepared for the worst. We got there and it was perfect... we stayed there one night before going to Benicassim festival in Valenica and had a lovely time. The hotel is right outside the Hospital Sant Pau, and its metro stop which takes you to Catalunya, the train station and various other places. The highlight for me was the fact you can walk for about 5 minutes down the Gaudi Avenue from the hospital straight to La Sagrada Familia, or you can get the tube to the next stop. The rooms were basic, very much like an English travel lodge, very clean but just what you need if you plan to be out all day. The staff are friendly and can help you find your way around the city. I recommend the Medium Abalon to anyone planning a visit to Barcelona.

Comments: The price that we agreed on online was changed to another much higher price, a price we would not have paid if we had known, and we were just presented with a much higher bill than expected, which changed our travel plans because we were on a strict budget. Just a thought - put the real price on the internet, or say somewhere that the price is not guaranteed. Thanks.

Comments: This is a hotel not a hostel so it comes with all the hotel ammenities (i.e. clean sheets, en suite bathroom, clean towels, tv in room). since it's not a hostel, you don't have the same opportunity to meet like minded travelers. we actually ended up staying here because there were no vacancies at any hostels. it was clean and cozy! a perfect break from 3 weeks of hostel living!

Comments: Easy to take the metro to the centre (10-15 min) so the location did not bother us. The walls were not very soundproof so we woke up when the alarm clock went off in the next room.
