NOT recommended.

Better for groups/teams/families than backpackers.

It is located far outside the city center, but it can be reached by public transportation. It offers a wonderful view over vienna. The stuff was not the friendliest. We enjoyed the breakfast very much. A negative point is that we booked a double room and got a 4 bed room with two bunk beds for our own. They should declare this room type as a twin room.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating Ireland 16th August 2008 Female 18-24 3/5 Comments: really beautiful location, full view of the city. not suitable if you are partying but really good for the end of a long trip. i really enjoyed it and found it so relaxing. it is far from the city but there is a feeder bus outside the hostel that comes every 10 mins and taxis are not expensive. staff are very helpful and friendly. will plan a return visit.

But the public transpot in Vienna is good and it is not a problem to me. The area where the hostel is localizated is very beutiful. The breakfast is good.

Be ready to pay for taxi often if u come back late in nights or wanna catch flight/ train early in the morning. Overall, definitely to be recommended.

Once you get there, though, this is a very nice hostel. Very pretty view of the city from the back, and rooms are clean and comfortable.

LOCATION = WORST (end of subway line + bus) NOTHING around @ night! NOTHING to drink/eat nearby (slept THIRSTY) I stayed 1 night and one of us was bitten by a bug and got a week of allergy reaction! there are only 2 (occupied) computers with IE ONLY! the ONLY good thing is the view DO NOT EVER BOOK THIS HOSTEL, EVER!!!

If you likes party its nice to stay for one or two night to experiences it. There were many student group so do not expect quietness. There are only two computer with bad area.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating Austria 6th July 2008 Couple 18-24 2/5 Comments: very clean with nice dorms. we turned up very early in the morning under the impression that we would be albe to check in a relax however the woman who came to the door wouldn\'t even let us leave our bags or use the common room until reception opened at 9am. we had to sit on the grass in front of the hostel for 3 hours and even when reception opened we we only allowed to leave our bags and still weren\'t allowed into the hostel until 2pm when our room would be ready. also this is more a summer camp for school kids than it is a travellers hostel. avoid if possible.

As is indicated on the website as well as at the hostel itself... reception is open 24 hours. BE AWARE! I was 3 minutes from missing my train because someone was not there the morning I left and when I rang the bell I was YELLED at by a staff member saying that everyone is asleep and I have to wait until someone gets there. When I told her I had a train she continued to yell saying basically tough luck. SO RUDE!!!!!
