Comments: 5 mins walk from main rail and coach station, same to Natural History museum. You get what you pay for - basic rooms with small low beds, cupboard, table, chair, fan, towel, soap and TV - multiple unit bathrooms cleaner than the single ones - small kitchen, laundry, TV room and hot water dispensers - everything felt grotty though. One free internet machine, luggage storage, and stairs were usually quicker than lift. Fit for sleep, but not somewhere to bring anyone you want to impress.

Comments: If you have nowhere else to stay then this is the place for you... the rooms are soo tired and worn and the carpets in the whole place stink of smoke and god knows what else. Dont be fooled by the reception which looks quiet promising. The only good thing about this place is the location!

Comments: The location of this ho(s)tel is fantastic, especially if you want to be close to Oxford Street. I was pleasantly surprised at what I got for my dollar - private room with tv, fan, wardrobe etc. for dorm prices. Only downer was a huge scary cockroach on my second day - though I think I'd put up with the risk of this to stay there again as otherwise it seemed really clean! Not somewhere to stay if you wanna meet loads of people and hang out at the hostel, but as a cheap private base it was great x

Comments: checking in here felt a bit like what i imagine arriving at prison feels like - run down, decrepit, comically unfriendly staff etc. In fairness, some of the staff were very nice and facilities relatively clean but definitly not a relaxed or fun spot. Changed accomodation after 1 night.

Comments: Ok hostle, quite cheap for location. Rooms not cleaned at all and no new bed sheets for the two weeks i was there. Staff quite rude and not at all helpful when asked for advice. Overall stay if nothing else available ok but not a backpackers place to visit!

Comments: This property is especially well located to many things such as Paddy's Markets (souvenirs), Central Station, Darlinghurst nightlife, museums and a host of other spots. The staff was very professional and helpful. The only two detractions are the tired decor on the floors and rooms and the unpleasant odor of the hallways emanating from carpets that are long overdue for replacement. All in all this was a good choice for me. DT - USA

Comments: No hot water in the mornings! There is absolutely no way I would ever stay here again, ever, I'd rather sleep on the street.

Comments: Very clean, no noise, but got a lecture about not bringing visitors into hotel. Made us feel like a child being told off. Plus you have to pay $100 depoist on arrival

Comments: The only good thing you can say about this hotel is location (close to Sydney Central and George street). Don't stay here unless you have to...

Comments: Basic, but fine. The shared bathrooms are kept really clean. Take some ear plugs though for the traffic outside.

Comments: Teh hostel was good but as there were no safety deposit boxes I had to carry valuables with me. there was virtually no atmosphere in the hostel and the3 common areas were poor. However, the location and cleanliness certainly compensated

Comments: The Location is very good. On the fringe of the CBD, and just down the road from Central Station (although this can cause a problem with noise if the room faces the rails) so getting around is easy from this place. The shared facilities are always clean and tidy which is great. The staff can be a little apathetic and even grumpy at times. Our room was fine, but we didn't get enough air. Getting privacy is easy, almost too easy, It's kind of hard to meet people. But for the price and location, this place is definitely worth considering.

Comments: The location of this Hotel is good, on the fringe of the Central Business District. Has all the facilities you'd need and they're all in good working order order The rooms are very basic. Noise can be a little bit of a problem, as the nearby railway line goes from underground to above ground - and I think the trains have to honk (for safety reasons) each time they pass. Rooms can smell a little because of the Indian restaurant below. Staff seem a little grumpy.

Comments: Single room/shared bathroom. Very basic. Liness and batroom - clean. Location also good - don't need to use public transport. There was no heating in my room (so it might be not warm enough during the winter months) Generally there are similar hostels around to choose.

Comments: OK but no air-con and in a very noisy location, so hard to sleep on hot nights. Nice clean showers though, and a clean towel every day! Oh, poor kitchen facilities though.

Comments: I thought this hotel was perfect for the weekend i spent there. The location was good (although being followed to the hotel by a freak from central station wasnt so good). We were close the public transport and not a long walk from the main attractions. Also it wasnt as noisy as i had heard it could be. I would stay here again.

Comments: Free email checking very useful. Good location for easy access to the city. Need to take your own cups, plates etc if you want to cook meals as the supplies in the kitchen are very limited.
