Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating Canada 26th August 2008 Female 18-24 3/5 Comments: we stayed on the 5th floor in a room with 4 girls, it was insanely hot. there was no air conditioning and only one fan. the bathroom didn't have a shower curtain which was odd. staff didn't clean the room everyday, we stayed 7 nights and it was cleaned twice. great location, 15 min walk from the beach, less than 10 to the train station. helpful day staff, night staff was extremely unhelpful. they could do nothing for us and gave us no information.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating Ireland 1st August 2008 Male 18-24 1/5 Comments: Death crept up slowly and lingered like a bad smell. stay at your own peril, it will crush the most resilliant soul and cast a black smog upon all hope. the room was filled with the heat from hell and caused severe dispair. heat attacks led to convultions, rapid bowel movments and tears. i urge you, lonely traveller, not to be a resident because it will destroy like it destroyed me, an innocent naive traveller who entered the devils den.

We felt clean, safe and well-taken care of. Very close to the tram that goes straight to the center. Book it!

Also there was no shower curtain in the shower so the bathroom floor was permanently wet (also no window). Besides that, this place cannot be beat for price, location and efficiency. It's a budget hotel so we weren't expecting fun or character from it.

It's not too far from the train station (5 min walk) and there is a shuttle just outside that will take you to the beach and all other attractions. As a solo woman traveller, I felt very safe. I just would be careful about walking around alone at night.

Some staff are a bit strange but ultimately helpful and nice (also fluent in a range of languages). Wifi is fast but doesn't reach the rooms. The biggest issues is the lack of air-conditioning and the tiny bathrooms. Little fans make it JUST bearable in summer, but for a bit more money, air-con is worth it. Shower is awkward: a bathtub with a hand-held shower-head and no real shower screen, so everything gets wet.

The room was clean, nice and with a big fan. I stayed in first floor and the traffic was noisy from around 7 in the morning. Around 10 min walk from the train station and 2 min walk from the tram that costs 1 euro. I would probably stay there again if I did´t want to use too much money, but not in first floor if I want to sleep in in the mornings and not if the weather was very hot. Then I would go for an air conditioned hotell.

Although the hotel is a bit far from the beach, but the public transport there is very convenient. There is a tram nearby and can straight away reach the station near the beach. The breakfast in this hotel is slightly expensive (7euro) compared to others hostel. The room is neat and tidy, the bath room is clean. Its a good choice for stay when u go to nice for holiday

The only problem that I really had was that the shower head wasn't attached to the wall, so it was a bit hard to wash my long hair. Not a huge amount of character, but it's not in 'old Nice', so if there was a lot of it, it would all be fake.

The staff were really helpful even after we'd overrun their lobby wanting to store our bags. The rooms were a good size and very clean. They even managed to get all of our rooms on the same floor. While waiting in the lobby we witnessed a customer being offered the choice of two rooms that he could inspect and then choose the one he wanted. The hotel is about twenty minutes walk from the old town however a one minute walk takes you to a tram stop where you can catch one of Nice's brand new trams.

When I made the reservation through the website, I paid 10% of the rate and it said I would pay the rest at the hotel. But when I arrived there, they had already charged the hotel room using my credit card number without my authorization! This was not correct at all and I had the impression it is not safe to book hotels trhough this website once you give all teh info about your credit card!
