Trieste is a relatively small town, so Hotel Alabarda was only a few minute walk from the train station, the water, and many popular restaurants. Complimentary breakfast (mediocre; hey, free food is free food), easy and affordable. Great place!

You can have a quiet night untill 5 a.m. At that time you start hearing them and you can't sleep anymore. They don't have parking facilities and it isn't easy to find a place to park the car. We just stayed for one night and it was ok.
