Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating Australia 6th November 2008 - - 3/5 Comments: i got put in a little apartment one street away so i'm not sure if mine was a normal experience. apartment was nice, if small. it had a kitchen, couch, table, bathroom was okay and a very comfortable atmosphere. it was a lot of fun staying there. but i think it would depend a lot on who you were staying with. got some saucepans-fryingpan for that kitchen, please!

What was unacceptable was the fact that they didn't provide clean linen. The beds would be un-made and the owners didn't bother changing the sheets after the last person left. No one cleaned the room while I was there and there were piles of garbage on the floor. The place was broiling hot too. No fans, nothing. I wont even go into the mosquito problem. Oh yeah, no kitchen either.

Although it was cool even in the blistering heat. No breakfast or any services to speak of . Was in an good location in the heart of venice close to the ferry service a short walk to town square and a public drinking fountain for refills. Other than NO atmoshere where I ended up staying , it was a home base .

I spent 3 hours dragging my suitcase around the zigzag venice alleys not finding the hotel!

They never took out the trash or exchanged dirty linens from someone who had checked out the day before. We never had hot water. The hotel itself has nothing to offer younger travelers: no bar, no internet access, no phone, no lounge area, no lobby. Very disappointing, especially when it was one of our more expensive hotels!

The staff were very friendly and provided good directions. I got to have my opwn flat close to San Marks the location was great and you could use the kitchen to cook your own food and cut down on costs. I will definitly stay here agian next time I am in Venice.

We were told that the heaters only come on when the outside temperature drops below a certain level. Blah blah blah. It wouldn't be so bad if the bedspread was warmer but it's so thin and there are no spares. That said the heat did come on the second night full and the showers are hot! We also got upgrade to a private bathroom by the lady which was nice.

The staff was very friendly and helpful about explaining where to go and what to do. For the money, it was a good place to stay, but a bit drab and gloomy. Also, it seems to be that there is only one WC/shower in the entire place and in order to get to it you have to walk right past reception, which was a bit awkward.

No luxury at all, but good enough if you just plan to sleep after a whole day walk. The location is excellent, the only issue was that during the two days I stayed there the garbage can in the room was not cleaned, so the room was kind of smelly.
