It all seemed pretty shady and suspect. However, it all turned out ok. The room we were given was reasonably clean, safe and actually closer to the main parts of the city than the originally agreed upon location. It was a bit noisy however as the windows opened onto an elementary school. Not bad, but not that great either.

I only stayed a night and ended up moving to a couple of other places in Barca whilst I was there that were a lot better value for money and slightly closer to the action. I wouldn\'t go back.

It was clean and presentable, and no problems with security. Ear plugs solved the probles of thin walls and chatting. Beds were not the best,but i have slept in much worse. Good value for money. I would happily stay there again.

It's not dirty but it isn't very clean either. No problems with security. The staff was helpful. Not a fun place, but who wants to have fun in the hostal?

The sheets were not too clean and the room was not cleaned every day, but the staff was very nice. There was free Wifi though. The location was fine, the closest metro station was Universitat/Urgell which was 10min away from the hostel. The neighbourhood was friendly. However, it's not recommended for a long stay.

Only one could hear every word of the other people in their rooms and most of the doors were really noisy to close. So its a good hostel but not for those people who have a light sleep or have a big problem with some noise.

Strong smell of sewage from the loo. The shower was broken off the wall and had to be handheld. At one point during a shower the water just stopped dead!! Had to wait 5minutes before could wash soap off!! Staff were friendly and spoke reasonably good english but didnt know a lot about the city and couldnt help regarding directions to some otherwise well known spots.

Lots of bars & clubs close by, Las Rambles is about a 10min walk away. The bathrooms weren't the best, have to hold the shower head and if someone is in the shower next door, there is limited water pressure. Perfect for a weekend away where you spend limited time in your room.

It was a bit of a walk from the ramblas but hardly a problem, and very safe area where we didnt feel threatened at all.The guy spoke good english and was very polite and helpful.It was basically like staying in a hotel with the added bonus of having your key with you at all times and having the freedom to pretty much come and go.Excellent, highly recommended, i would stay here again!

There was no air conditioning, no clock radio, no tea/coffee making machine in our room. There was no hair dryer or iron to be found. If there was one somewhere there was no one to ask about it. We stayed in the second building which was an awesome location, but if we needed anything there wasn\'t anyone around to ask unless we called someone on duty. The room was tiny. It was so hot in our room. We had a fan but every day whoever cleaned the room would turn the fan off when we were gone and open the window. Doesn\'t seem bad but our window faced the center of the building and the apartment below us had someone who chain smoked all day and night long. So when we would return our room, bed, clothes, towel all smelled like smoke. Also, we agree that the owner was a bit suspicious and though we enjoyed new towels every day, we didn\'t like the idea he was in our room while we were away. Also, make sure you pay cash or they will charge you 7% surcharge to use a credit card! The photos are not representative of all of the rooms available. Beware! Wouldn\'t stay here again.
