| Comments: the security is not good, because the works are not often in the contact, so everyone can get the keys on the wall |

| Comments: Breakfast good but not free. Free wi-fi in the dining room. All staff helpful and friendly, but only 1 fluent in English. None of the channels on TV in English. We stayed in a private double room with shared bathroom, but there's only 1 shower shared for the whole hotel and its on the 5th storey. Stairs were a killer, and there was a queue for the shower. Had a vanity with tap/basin in our room but no hot water. Hotel is extremely close to the main train station and was easy to find. |

| Comments: Actually we could not stay there. We arrived 30 minutes late and our room had been given to other people. The guy could understand only German and very poor English and he told us the check in time was at 6pm, but it was not written in our booking references. It was an excuse because we understood that this hotel rented rooms for just some hours too, so that\'s why they gave our room away...
We were redirected to another hotel beside it, but more expensive...
Very bad experience to have |

| Comments: More a budget hotel than a hostel, the Wikinger is in a pretty good location ´- just watch out for the hookers on the steindamm! Room was spotless and large. Good value. |

| Comments: It is an rather old venue, but the character is good. The room was clean, the private bathroom quite big with enough air (excellent in hot days). The staff is great - they are funny, helpful and very friendly. |

| Comments: Located walking distance from the train station, making it a convenient base for travel and eating (great restaurants near station). Staff was incredibly friendly. Only downside, the toilets were not my favorite. Not dirty, just cramped and the water leaked. Overall though, we would stay here again. |

| Comments: Hotel located really near the train station and so the metro and bus station. The hotel's avenue is red light so a bit strange to live with, still for tourist is good because there are lots of mini and big markets nearby. Also the place have lots of ethnic restaurants, I suggest the one really near the hotel =). The staff is friendly but not all of them speak english, still the one who speaks, does very well. The hotel is clean but has a smell of old. |

| Comments: Ensuite twin room was basic/bit cramped/had no hot water. Staff were apologetic but couldn't fix hot water, and couldn't move us to a room with hot water until 3rd day. Didn't offer rebate for inconvenience (we had to use shared bathroom 2 floors further up) despite paying more for ensuite. The ensuite triple they moved us to was an improvement. The room was spacious and in better condition, and shower hot/powerful. Good security: a night porter checked our names when he didn't recognise us. |

| Comments: Nice simple place to sleep. A little problem by getting the right room because of a broken bathroom, but then we got a little discount.
Laying quite central (only a few minutes walking from the main station) and sourended by a nice neighbourhood.
Nice place to stay in Hamburg. |

| Comments: A very convenient location about 5 mins walk from central bus and train station. We were only there for the night but did not have any troubles what so ever. We hired a three bed single room however the only downside was the fact the shower room had no doors, other than that, the place was adequate for our length of stay. |

| Comments: This is not a luxury hotel, but it is quite clean, room looked ok and the staff was friendly. The location is super-central but it lies on the sex shop street no 1.
If you are looking for a cheap sleep a step up from the hostels, this is it. If you are looking for something nice, go somewhere else.
We got what we payed for! |

| Comments: No security on front door, and hotel is in the middle of the red light district. However, is close to train station and town.
We had our own room but shared bathroom. However, there was 1 showere between 2 floors and it was broken! Also, the curtains in our room did not close and the 'red lights' go all night. Alos very noisy. Staff were extremely unsympathetic about our concerns, and became quite argumentative.
Overall, the hotel was not value for money. We had better stays in hostels! |

| Comments: Close to citycenter, 5 min. walk from Central Station, easy to find, good breakfast for 6 euro, 24H reception, noise from traffic in some rooms, satelite TV in the rooms, fine bathrooms, helpfull staff, good value for money, St.Georg is an ethnic area |

| Comments: Location is excellent in terms of accessibility, its just stone throw distance from central stn and lakes. It has a number of vibrant ethnic eating joins as well, taxis are available thru out night. Surroundings are not very polished, a number of sex shops are there. Good fun for young batchelors. Its more of a budget hotel. |

| Comments: The only thing that rappresented a "small problem" was the hotel being located in the middle of Hamburg´s red zone.
But for the rest, the staff at the hotel, location very near to the city center... were more than good. |

| Comments: The room itself was clean, nice linens and a large bathroom. Hotel was located in a shady area populated by gaming houses, sex cinemas, prostitutes and pawn shops, but also non-shady ethnic grocery stores and neighbourhood restaurants. |

| Comments: The hotel is pretty nice if you get a double room but don't get a single. It's like a cell. Also to stay in a four bed you have to pay for all four. It's also in the centre of the gay district. |
