If you have a car, it's an easy place to find a place to park and, as it's not in the center, you have a quick access to the motorway. You reach the center walking for 20-30 minutes.The bus from the aiport leaves you in the centre.

Our apartment was great! Very spacious, actually with two levels and several distinct sub-zones in it. Very friendly staff. The main city square - Politeama - within a 10 minute walk. The rooms were very clean and comfortable though, and the owner is awesome.

The room had its own self contained kitchen as well. Great information & chats with the staff. Quite an easy (10-15 min) walk to the main sights in Palermo.

Only thing is that the staff do not speak English, and are only around certain times of the day. But they are very helpful. Location, near the port, and can be quite dodgy at night. Best to walk in a group.

Good location althought have to walk by some questionable characters to get to at night. We liked the fully equipped kitchen. Stayed in a couple of evenings and ate 'ready meals' bought from the market nearby hostel. Able to sample the local cuisine without breaking the bank accounts.

It was clean and air-conditioned (although a roach was spotted once, I think things like that are inevitable in cities). There are fruit, vegetable, fish, and meat sellers down the block.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating and even gave us the "best apartment" in the hostel. I didn't feel like I was in a hostel at all especially since we had our own bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom. The only draw back is the front desk has very strict hours so there are only certain hours when you can check in.
