Comments: Little appartment with only one bathroom. Excellent location near the Duomo. Everything is walking distance. If you are kind with Vincenzo, he will give a lot in return. Kitchen with kettle and fridge. Close to market, internet,... I recommand this place. Downside : a litle extra you need to pay for linnen!

| Comments: Very bad staff, they charge extra for linen and SHOWER ( yes for shower, in very center of Florence), and that wasn't written on hostels.com, it was only on trav.com. When we complied that extra charges are not shown on hostels.com the member of a staff logged in and copy-paste those info from trav.com. And then he said : Look now!
He was even so "nice" to explain us why he charge extra...because he in that case he doesn't lose 10% of deposit (he earn extra 30 cents per person per night), but all the guests who reserved via hostels.com didn't know for extra charges.
We stayed there for only 1 night so extra 10$ didn't ruin our budget but i can only imagine how surprised were budget travelers who stayed longer...
BTW. extra for linen is usual, but extra for SHOWER is seen only in mountain huts!!!!!!
Beside that there's SAFETY...NO KEYS in dormitories....and there are moment when nobody is at reception...so someone can enter the room and leave it with all your staff.
So i wouldn't recommended this hostel, further more i strongly recommend hostels.com to STOP WORKING with DAVID INN |

Comments: the worst hostel I've ever lived.... the location is the only strongpoint. The boss charged more 10Euro for shower and bet-cover after my arrival, and he took tips without my permission automaticlly when he gave back my changes....There is no hot water on 2nd day... the bed and cover is smelly....there is no chair or any desk in the room....in short, it should be the last choice in Florence....

Comments: Make sure you realize that there are two sets of street numbers in florence - commercial and residential. the hostel is about 2 and a half blocks farther from the first red number that you see. its a little confusing and their english is not that great.

Comments: Location was amazing, and they were very accommodating about letting us switch rooms so that we could be in the same room as our friends. However, one staff member was entirely clueless, and made it very difficult for us to check out.

Comments: Very nice hostel with small rooms, very close to the center and 100m from the Main Catedral. Just one thing is that the night receptionist didn't speak english and didn't understand my poor italian, so I slept without duvet... ;-)

Comments: Doesn't even qualify as a hostel. Tried to rip us off and charge for nothing but fortunately we had reservation and price given already. Staff members very difficult and arguing. Dodgy atmosphere with strange people coming in the night shouting and quarelling with the staff.

Comments: This hostel is the unlocked unclean and run by people who seem to be on another planet. Both my friend and I were molested by someone staying in the room with us (like he copped a feel), and the overall feeling of the place left a bad taste in our mouths about Florence, which is a hard thing to do because it is a fabulous city! We recommend Ostello Archi Rossi, super close to the train station and all the amenities of a nice hotel for only a few more euro a night than David Inn. Bottom line, STAY AWAY.

Comments: Dirty, cramped. At least we got sheets - but no one could find blankets at first. They didnt have a key for us until the second day. Head lice shampoo in the bathroom, no shower door. But right accross the street from the Academia and a minutes walk from Il Duomo.

Comments: Very friendly & laidback if disorganised hostel. Don't bother booking through hostels.com - they didn't have our booking when we arrived. There were several free beds so you might as well just turn up. It's also cheaper per night at weekends when you pay directlyand you don't have to pay a deposit that way. The dorms don't lock so put a padlock on your suitcase just in case. The bathroom & kitchen are clean and pretty.

Comments: They had a tv-room with AC, which was grate. I couldn\'t stand the heat outside. And it was dificult to sleep in the heat. Kichen was ok and nice to have sofas to relax. Good lockation close to the trainstation, but it wasn\'t so many pubs around.

Comments: Location was great. Security was an issue as one main door opens into 3 rooms (each with four beds). Anyone can access your things from any of the 3 rooms. The hostel advertised a cheap breakfast at one of the local cafes however the cafe owners did not know anything about the arrangement and hence we paid normal price (which is very expensive in this part of town) - not impressed. Otherwise a reasonable hostel.

Comments: The place is in a good location but that is really the only thing good about this place. The reception is horrible, there where bugs coming out of the sink and the bathroom was never cleaned in the 3 nights we where there. The halls are dark and several people got stuck in the elevator. I would not recommend staying here ever.

Comments: Relatively normal hostel. Good location and some great staff, but some awful staff. The don't take information about their guests which turned bad when my camera was taken, make sure your things are locked up (although the don't offer much for that)
