The room and breakfast was nice, except for the showers. The shower head just stuck out from the wall right next to the toilet with no difference in the floor at all.

Room cleaned every day, sheets clean, clean towels every day. Furniture old and dated but practical. Private bathroom essential. Breakfast is a set breakfast, very basic but adequate for price. Really happy to have stayed here.

While I was out, they moved my belongings to a different room without my knowledge or permission. During the process they broke a bottle of perfume but they did not tell me about it when I returned. It was not until I asked the receptionist about it, that she admitted she had broken it. When I spoke to the manager he told me it was "standard procedure" to move people's belongings. After much discussion and hassle, I finally got reimbursed but no one ever admitted that they were at fault. I have never felt so violated nor been treated with such disrespect.

Sink was cracked and owner did not acknowledge this. We checked out after one night after a meaningful discussion with owner who was insisting we paid for 3 nights. Compromised on 2 nights payment. How can you give a place like this 4 thumbs up on your web site. I have been in Florence on 4 occasions before in 1/2 star hotels with no problem. This one is not good enough.

Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating France 9th March 2007 Couple 41+ 3/5 Comments: the staff is quite helpful, but we found our twin beds opposite one another!! and our "private" bathroom right at the end of the corridor, to be opened and closed with a different key, not worth a two star hotel. the bathroom was very clean, but the stairs were dirty, not very inviting. you have to climb up two floors to get to the reception, and you room. This should be mentioned for elder people. Apart from this we enjoyed our stay mainly thanks to the location.

The same staff member was quite rude to me also. The breakfast also isn't worth getting out of bed for. The description they gave of the hotel was not what we received.

The shower room is very small, the waterflow is very weak, and the water is not hot enough. Though the lady in the reception came and checked, she could do nothing about it and even thought the water temperature was fine. Well, it was fine for washing hands, but not for showering. Besides, we had to walk 2 mins. to a bar to have breakfast, which was fine, but the breakfast only included a drink and a croissant, which was far from enough. The reception told us the bar was opened at 7 am but the second morning we went there at 7:30 am and it's not opened yet. So we didn't have breakfast that day. The worst thing was that the housekeeper didn't finish making the beds on the first day, and after we comlained, the beds were made the next day but she left a note on the bed, saying "Grazie," which sounded very sarcastic to us. Well, for the price we've paid, there could be better hotels than this one. After all, the hostel we stayed in Rome was even cheaper and better than Regina.

You basically shower over the toilet and get everything soaking wet. Of the hostels that I stayed at, this was not one of my favorite. However, the location is great and the breakfast in the morning is good.

The rooms were adequate and comfortable, but we happened to have a room that opened into a very small courtyard (7 feet by 7 feet) and it had this terrible smell for all three days, so we couldn't open the windows. I'm sure not all their rooms are like this. Staff was attentive and 24 hour reception was handy. Soundproofing is not good. Overall it's reasonably priced but not as nice as other Italian guesthouses we've stayed at.
