Staff is very helpful. We wanted to stay an extra night and although they were full they found a room for us in another hotel and Letizia was the best.

There's always somebody there if you a question or so, which is a plus concerning security. it's located kind of in between the station and the inner city - so perfect if you arrive by train or bus. nice bed, we had a sink and also a shower inside the room, which is great, but i think that's not the cas in every room. don't get confused if you arrive there for the first time and don't know whether you are in hotel guelfa or in hotel whatwasthenameagain (rita?), which must once have been upstairs in the same house or so... some signs tell so. we had a good and CHEAP time, and at the breakfast, if you need something more coffee or so, just ask! they will give you.

There is no common area so don't expect to meat a lot of other travellers. Breakfast is okay but the coffee is indeed great! Perfect hotel if you like to explore Florence on foot for a few days and you need a cheap but clean place to sleep.

The sweet older man who works the front desk at night is quite possibly the nicest person in the history of humanity. The only drawback was the showers, which sometimes had a funny smell.

The little old man who is there from 5pm-9:30am is so cute, even though he doesn't speak any english he does his very best to help. The hotel is very clean and the beds are nice. It is in a great location as well - a 10 minute walk from the train station and a 7 minute walk to the Duomo.

Lovely common area to chill out with a read and/or beer. Staff very helpful. Special mention for the older gentleman in the evening and morning watch who had a wonderful character. Simple but nice breakfast, especially the coffee.
