Reviews for Tiber Hostel and Camping, Rome, Italy |
|
|
Address: Via Tiberina km 1.400, Rome (Prima Porta), I-00188 |
Tiber Village has much more to offer than a hostel in Rome. It is a true holiday resort and it is located only 20 minutes away from the city centre. We provide a airport transfer service. more info »

| Comments: A good place to stay in, provided that travellers allocate a bit more time for rome, since the travel time to rome is a bit longer than staying in the middle of the city. |

| Comments: I found this campsite extremely pleasant - the setting is lovely and, with the frequent shuttle bus to the station, convenient for seeing the sights of Rome. The facilities are excellent, and the staff friendly and helpful. |

| Comments: Because it's a camping area, it's not in the exact city center. But the environment was very good. Everything was great to live there with its restaurant-bar and market. The breakfast was very good for the cheap price. I liked it very much. |

| Comments: Had a great week long stay with very helpful and friendly staff. Free internet is anexcellent bonus and also the free shutlle bus every half hour to the train station was a bonus too! We even got a free shuttle to the Prima Porta station at 6am, the staff are just fantastic and know good service. The location isn't great as you are about a 20 minute metro stop away from the centre of Rome, however when you are paying only 10 euro a night you can't complain. There was a supermarket on the property which would have been more helpful if there was a common room or guest kitchen for backpackers to store food and drink. The best thing was probably the shower facilities.....endless hot water and you never have to line up as there are plenty of them! Definitely would stay again if ever in Rome again. |

| Comments: This was a pleasant enough stay for what it was. Would be great in the middle of summer with lots of people around I think. We had twin beds in our cabin..we ended up putting the mattresses on the floor because the slats of the beds kept falling off. And the hot water was not always hot. Other than that, it was ok. Restaurant was good and free internet was handy. |

| Comments: Tiber hostel is very good with the pool being great on those hot days. Tiber is 30mins from the old gates of Rome with trains running all the time. The meals at tiber are fantastic with the 8 euro special our favourite. I\'d definitly stay again and recommend it. |

| Comments: Those looking for an inexpensive but clean place with easy access to Rome's main attractions will be pleased. We stayed in a cabin for EUR 36/night and were extremely pleased. Showers are hot, rooms are clean. You will want to take the free shuttle to the train station (which takes you into "true" Rome) but walking is doable if you must. Overall, great value. |

| Comments: its really far out, but the campsite run a free coach to and from the local trainstation every half hour. its quite far out so if ur going out take everything you\'ll need. we couldn\'t do a pub crawl coz it was so far out. it was more a family location rather than gappies. the resturant is really good and relitivly cheap. the pool was good fun. the cabins aren\'t the cleanest however and the heat got quite bad coz no airconditioning |

| Comments: Staff are extremely rude and unhelpful, accommodation may have been cheap, but they make up for it in extra costs such as laundry(9 euros for 1 load) and the very over priced restuarant, and considering that your 45 minutes out from anything you have to put up with it. Its definately worth while staying somewhere else, it wil cost the same. Weve been backpacking for the past 7 weeks and can safely say this is the worst place we have stayed in. |

| Comments: nice stay, there`s a bus transfer to railway station and trains will come quite often,so you will need about half an hour to get to piazza del popolo.in the 2 pers. privates you will hear every move and whisper of your neighbour,so choose a room without neighbours..nice bar and restaurant, supermarket opened every day. |

| Comments: Before coming, you have to tell yourself that this is a camping area, and don\\\'t expect too much. The cheapest room includes only beds and no air-con, which can be very terrible for summer in Rome. And the campsite is definitely much too far away from the city centre, despite there is a bus picking up people at the train station every half an hour. And finally, the most serious problem for a campsite is undeniably the mosquitos and other insects. |

| Comments: the room was not what we had booked. you practically live with your neighbours since its a laminated wall and there was food and used band aids under our "freshly cleaned room". only good thing is free internet. |

| Comments: We were very satisfied with Tiber. When we arrived we got a room with private bathroom even though we had not orded it, and it was for the same price as a room with shared bathroom. The camping site has all the facilities you need. It is a bit far from Rome, but there is easy acces to reach the center of the city. |

| Comments: Everything was PERFECT, however one thing was annoying - the cabin (or private room if you prefer) was very fragile and shaky - every time somebody from the other room moved, it would wobble. We found it really disturbing, because sometimes it was difficult to fall asleep. Well, maybe we lived in an unlucky (313) room, but still:)
The staff in the bar was really great. The shuttle bus was a great - it\'s very difficult to reach this place on foot.
If I had to choose a plece to s |
