The bathroom was pretty nasty, and the guy in the next bed woke up with a bunch of bug bites all over his back. Wouldn't recommend this hostel to anyone.

Close enough to the action to walk into town, but far enough away to get some rest and sleep when you need it! Good value, recommended :)

However the staff were very very rude .I met 3 of them who delivered such a bad service from the begginning to the end . no good manners at all. Our beds were not changed in 4 days .... that was just disgusting and I did ask if they could do that 3 times ..

If you want to get to know Amsterdam all in all its fine. It is a bit loud do to traffic and with four people in a small room pretty worm. Bikes can be rent around the corner. Breakfirst is very good. The staff does it job, but isn't enthusiastic if you have questions. So..if other hostles are booked this is a good secound choise!

Easy walking to anywhere, (including party zones), quiet, good breakfast room/food, fun guests, helpful staff - interesting folks too. Younger crowd but felt fine there as a 40+ gal. Complaints - light sleepers may be disturbed by streetcars, only one shower/toilet for two rooms on first floor, one nightman smokes in staff room and it gets into the air . But generally a nice little hotel and I will come back again.

I had booked a room for 4 people and the last night i was there they booked a family of 5 gypsies into the remaining 3 beds. I mean they were french, but they still seemed like gypsies.

Staff - 50/50 - two guys nice, two others rather strange and making inappropriate jokes/comments about guests. Breakfast is ok. Rooms can get quite noisy from the traffic outside - had terrible trouble trying to sleep first night.

The stairs are outrageously steep, and breakfast is delicious and free.

I wasnt a fan thou because i found the staff a bit rude and unhelpful. They provide no opportunities to meet others staying in the hostel for those travelling solo eg decent rec area/organised nights out.

We didn't really meet anyone to socialise with, so better for couples maybe. Near to Leidseplein and stuff, with tube nearby, so location not too bad. We could hear loud trams and traffic all night though. Not bad on balance.

The staff was very nice besides the hotel had a good breakfast in a sweet atmosphere. Un très jolie hôtel située à coté d'un parc et proche d'une place très animé avec beaucoup de bars. Le staff est très accueillant. De plus le petit dèj' est très bon.
