Nationality Stayed Gender Age Group Overall Rating England 28th May 2008 Female 25-30 4/5 Comments: brilliant place to stay, fairly quiet, only downside was a thin partition door between 2 rooms which meant you could hear everything next door and the jujitsu school upstairs meant there was alot of thumping during the daytime. staff were really helpful and friendly and the rooms were very attractive. location coulnt be better, between the old town and Eixample, near Placa Catalunya.

Granted, it was expensive, but in fact this was more like a hotel! The staff was great, the location is ideal because youºre just off from the old town, but not on the Ramblas which can be kind of shady at night. The hostel was very safe and extremely clean, the bed was incredibly confortable. In fact, except for shared bathrooms, fashion house is pretty much like a 3 star hotel (!).

Owner is great; very friendly and offered us some suggestions on sights, activities. Loved the ambiance of the main reception room. Very noisy street two out of three nights. Walls are thin. I was awoke by noise usually three times a night. The pillows were nice. Towels were good quality too. Shared bath down the hallway was always available and with hot water (shower on timer).

Exelent location (internet cafe, metro, supermarket all around the corner and just two minutes walk to Pl. Catalunya). The staff was very kind, helpfull and spoke English fluently. the room was very clean and quite and they had a nice warm shower. The ONLY disadvantage were the beds which were suited with old and uncomfertable matresses. Beside that we would recommend Fashion House to everyone who is planning a trip to Barcelona!

The staff were very friendly offering advice on the sights to see and precautions we should take (as two young blonde girls we obviously stood out as tourists.)The room and bathrooms were immacuatley clean. The location was perfect and although we still had to have our wits about us when walking back late at night we felt much safer than in other areas of the city. There is a metro station practically right outside the front door.We felt very lucky to have found such a fantastic guest house at such a reasonable price and would reccomend it to anyone.

We could feel the springs in our backs... They should at least have an extra mattress on top, much bigger than that tiny one that had no function at all)... When you stay at a place for 5 days, you need a good sleep! But apart from the beds, we will recomend Fashion House strongly!!!! Intelligent solutions and very clean and suberb service!

The room was clean and spacious as was the bathroom. The location was very convenient for seeing the sites in Barcelona. We found it equivalent to some of the *** hotels we have stayed at in other european cities.

The Gaudi houses were also a short walk away. I'd certainly reccomend if you're flying to Girona airport to get a bus from the airport to the bus station and then walk to the Fashion House as the walk is only about 15 mins and a taxi may try and rip you off. The owners of the hotel are really freindly and will do all they can to help. Would definately stay here again.

The guesthouse is small and we were greeted with a very warm and personal welcome. Our room was big, had kitchen facilities and fridge and faces a quiet courtyard. Thanks for the very worthwhile suggestions about some of the less-frequented sights. Can we recommend the Fashion House ? - Anytime ! - Is there anything we did not like particularly ? - Let us think ... well .. the sharp odor of the solution used to clean the bath rooms !

The only downside is if you are a light sleeper then take ear plugs as the road noise was quite loud. My brother did not have a problem with it though. Highly recommended.

Not only was it spotless, but it was very tastefully decorated. It was a gorgeous room that had 15 foot ceilings, a fireplace, couch, kitchen table, and our own kitchen dinette. We were greeted by very friendly staff who also made terrific recommendations for restaurants and sites to see. Location is good - very central and on a quiet street, right on the Metro and only 3 blocks from Placa de Catalunya. Great value for the money. Only downside is it is tough to find as there is no visible signage from the street.

A big thanks to the owners for being so welcoming and helpful. The apartment was great, with its own kitchen space (a nearby Bon Preu was perfect for getting breakfasts), although the main door opening into the bathroom was unusual! All in all, highly recommended.
