| Comments: Its in a great location. But does not give you the opportunity to meet people. If your looking for a nice hotel, close to the plaza mayor thats clean and quiet then I would reccomend this place. |

| Comments: The place was great, very cheap for what you get. Was only there for one night because i was in Pamplona and flew out of Madrid. But ive stayed in heaps of places before this was easily the best for on £25, massive triple room with two balconys. Was stoked |

| Comments: Theres no elevator in this hostel, and a lot of stairs so dont bring a heavy bag! A lot of the lockers didnt work, and the dorms are tiny and crowded. The showers and the toilets could be cleaner.. But the breaksfast and the kitchen were ok, and the staff was really friendly! |

| Comments: The street in which Ateneo Hotel is located is not very "popular" for spanish people, but the hotel is in the Centre of Madrid, the rooms are perfect, it is not so expensive and it is very clean...these points were very important for my trip...that's why I think this hotel is perfect for a vacation in Madrid!!!! |

| Comments: 1) The lighting in the room could be better
2) The room service staff should be a little more prompt
3) Otherwise, the staff during the night we arrived(2nd August) and the morning of 3rd and 4tf were very nice. The lady at the front desk needs to be a little more professional |

| Comments: A very swanky three star hotel with all the modern amenities. Be aware that the street is full of prostitutes however the end of the street that the hotel is located on is next door to a police station and relatively safe. If this does concern you I would suggest getting to the hotel via the Sol Metro and walking up the road rather than getting off at the Gran Via metro and walking down the road to the hotel. Otherwise it's great value for money. |

| Comments: I arrived at the hotel at midnight and there were no problems getting there. The descriptions to find the hotel were excellent and when arriving I felt very welcome. The staff were superb, helping me when needed. This hotel is perfect if all you want to do is to have a relaxing night in a foreign city. |

| Comments: The hotel is actually located at the very bottom of the red light district street. It is more unpleasant then we expected since there are girls standing on the corner right across from the hotel and they are starting every 5 feet as you walk up that street. However it is simply unpleasant and not that it is dangerous since the police station is located literally 5 feet away from the hotel and the hotel door is locked up at night and gets opened by the person on the front desk only to people staying at the hotel. |

| Comments: Just at the bottom end of the red light district, which entends from the hotel to the Grand Via metro station. Wasn't a problem for me, but some people might find it off-putting.
The free internet (bring a patch cable) was a bonus, but the breakfast was vastly over-priced unless you eat loads. The good news is that there are many wonderful places to have breakfast within easy walking distance of the hotel. |

| Comments: Hotel was in a great location and was very clean. I would recommend trying to get a room above level 2 as it is right on a main street to the central square and gets pretty noisy into the early hours. |

| Comments: A wonderful Hotel! This hotel was conveniently located to Sol metro stop and Puerto de Sol/Plaza Mayor. Rooms are quite spacious and roomy and so is the bathroom (which comes with a tub!) We would most certainly stay here again. Our room also had a nice balcony and was quite nice and clean. Excellente! |
