It is an apartment, the owner (living there) Brigitte is friendly and helpful. The location is near the train station, which can be good or not. The view is to the railways, but i could sleep without any noise. 10 minutes from the old town (Vieux Nice), and the sea. The atmosphere is heartwarming, i felt myself at home there. Hard to find (no signs), no wifi, you can use the kitchen and the fridge. I would go there again. Thank you Brigitte!

We were lucky to be the only guests staying at the time. It was great to have access (limited) to the kitchen. Close to the train station which is great, its a bit hard to find (no signs at street level) so pay attention to the directions provided.

She was extremely helpful and cheerful all the time! It was conveniently close to the train station but was not noisy because of good double glazing. The room was nice and airy.

The accommodation is adequate but the pillows in our room were terribly uncomfortable . The bathroom was not ideal, even though it had a bath and a handheld shower. So maybe guests could use the other shower room from time to time? There is no area in which to eat except in your room and the facilities in the kitchen are fine for preparing basic food.

We stayed for 5 days and did day trips to surrounding cities no problem because the train station is so close. However the trains can be noisy but shutting the windows remedies it, plus there's an A/C! Brigitte was very accommodating, she lent us towels, let us use her appliances, and gave us directions when we needed help. The beach is a bit of a walk but the street tram makes all of downtown easily accessible. We would DEFINITELY stay again.

Here you are living in a woman's apartment with her and a few other guests. Brigitte is very nice and I never felt uncomfortable staying with her, but it is definitely not the place to stay if you are looking to meet people. The location is pretty good- a 20 minute walk to the beach and the old town.

The lady who\'s flat you stay in warm and welcoming, and her dog mischpan is adorbale. Seperate showering area, air conditioning, bit nosey next to the train station, but very clean. Easy to find. Overall a welcoming, pleasent environment.

Air conditioning allowed for a very comfortable stay, and the hostel met all of our needs. It had a very reasonable price as well!

Nut I felt safe as long as I was with friends after dark. Brigitte was great. Breakfast in the morning would have made the good experience here even better.

Not at all a shady area (I don't know what a previous reviewer was talking about!). Mishma the dog is lovely! It is close to the train line and you can hear trains going past, but the sound didn't disturb our sleep. Rooms are air conditioned. No internet, but free wi-fi at the McD's 5 min walk down the main street (across the road).

Brigitte was really nice and the rooms were charming and clean. no common area and not a good place to meet other travelers, but we still had a good time. Really close to the train station and about 15 min walk from the beach. Would def. stay here again.
