Comments: Friendly staff, great location. Rooms a little tired, not enough light. Ideal for a cheap weekend exploring.

Comments: Old european hotel with charming eating areas. Reception was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. Room was average. Walking distance to everything.

Comments: At first we LOVED this hotel. It was nice, and we got a cheap (5 euro) breakfast every morning if we wanted. But then one of my traveling companions was accused of coming to breakfast alone (she was asleep) and charging breakfast to someone elses room. The maid actually yelled at her and pointed at her across a room calling her out. It was a VERY dissapointing encounter as our morning was ruined when this occurred. We tried to explain and were told to be quiet from the lady at the front desk. She obviously had no time for us. But the man who worked the front desk at night was very nice and appreciated our attempts at italian as much as we appreciated his very good english! Over all it was nice, if only we could have avoided that one nasty encounter. Apparently all blondes look alike, or the maid just didnt like us. We will never go back and Do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

Comments: Awesome place, traditional rooms, far nicer than we were expecting. Person at reception 24 hours a day who are really helpful about calling up and finding stuff out for you, to the extend of them planning you day for you when you mention going horse riding. Located a few miontues from everywhere and the streets seem to go by quickly. Working out door numbering systems is a mystery that i don't think anyone understands.

Comments: For clean decent price accom in a v good location, it was a good option. However, we were put in the sister accom upstairs (Hotel Marine) which wasn't as good as the Azzi. The main problem being that their boiler was playing up and so out of the 3 nights we only had hot water on the morning we were chekcing out. For our inconvenience they relented v unwillingly to give us our one round of bar drinks FOC (worth about £5) - a v small gesture for a large inconvenience. I would recommend Azzi but when booking make sure you are put in the Azzi and not in one of the sister accoms.

Comments: Was being allocated to another hotel in the same premise, the Marine Hotel, which I think its a little bit cleaner than Azzi (I stayed in Azzi the night before)

Comments: Except that seems everyone can get the key from the reception when you left it downstairs, with this level of budget, the condition of the room is just very fine.

Comments: Not in the centre of town, but easy walking distance. Close to laundry, internet, groceries, and the train station.

Comments: Proximity to train station is great (especially when on your last day you're fitting in some last minute shopping before grabbing your bags and making a beeline to catch the train back to Pisa!) and the hotel is well placed for walking distance to the rest of the sites in Florence. We actually ended up staying in Hotel Marine (2nd floor). Only issue if there was one to raise is that the bathroom, whilst fine and fully functional, contained no shower cubicle or curtain - the shower head was affixed to the wall so the entire bathroom ends up wet.

Comments: Payed a little more that other hotels, but definitely the best hotel we stayed in Italy...They ended up putting us in Hotel Marina, which is up 2 flights of stairs (which was not fun to carry heavy luggage up), but this hotel is still in Hotel Azzi (same entrance). Our room was huge and extremely clean, staff very nice, and I felt very safe. Location is max 5 min walk from train station and is very close to main locations - extremely convenient. The only negative thing was that it is a busy street, especially with it being a side street so was woken up occasionally throughout the 3 nights we stayed there... but would def recommend staying there.

Comments: it is a great hotel at very reasonable price. We stayed a double room with shared bathroom but actually you don't share the bathroom it is just outside of your bedroom but is private so nobody but you can use it. the location is perfect. It is close to everywhere and there are a lot of bars and restaurants around this hotel. Espeically I loved one restaurant 10 meters away.(No.25 on that street) good price and excellent food. Expecially steak and dessert is a killer. The hotel has their own characteristics with old furnichures and paintings. Breakfast is okay and you have to pay 5 euro. One thing bad about this hotel is you can hear everything especially from people talking in the hallways. and cleaningladies took my underwear which I feel sad about.

Comments: The room was huge and there was a sofa in the room. The deco was simple but looked pretty. The staff was kind and we could leave our luggage after check-out while looking around the city. The hotel was next to the street so it was a bit noisy at night. However, there is a nice restaurant near the hotel which is called 'nerone'. We'd like to go back there to eat again.

Comments: Hotel Azzi was absolutely wonderful. Not only is the hostel comfortable, safe and incredibly clean, but it has an ecclectic feel, a good breakfast and great cappucino. The staff are incredibly friendly (and speak english and italian) and the rooms are cleaner and safer than my actual apartment. I even felt safe staying there on my own. I would definately recommend it!
