Comments: Excellent location! Would definitely stay here again. The only problem was that the owners don't have much english, but we managed fine! (This is a 2 star hotel, not a hostel)

Comments: Es de agradecer que estando en el mismísimo centro de Madrid se preocupen tanto por el descanso de los huéspedes.

Comments: Awesome location, friendly staff! Not for party people though...u need to have that outside this hostel. Extremely clean...a bit small...but so is everything else in Europe.

Comments: Wifi did not work in the room, had to go out into the reception to use internet. No fridge or communal area. If location is a priority then this is an excellent choice, rooms are also spotlessly cleaned daily. Beds are short, if you are 6ft your feet will hand over the end!

Comments: Very clean and basic room. Definitely need to speak at least a little Spanish if you are staying here as the staff spoke zero english. Very small room but very quiet at night and a good location right near the Palacio Real and main streets.

Comments: This is a hotel not a hostel. It was great for my use. The location was amazing, one block away from Puerta del Sol and within walking distance to many major sites. The room was great, we had a balcony overlooking a pedestrian shopping street.

Comments: I really liked this hostel but I must warn that there is a bit of a language barrier for non-spanish speakers. The owners ONLY speak Spanish so unless you do, it is extremely difficult to communicate. I had read this in other reviews and doubted the statement but it is very true. Otherwise, the hostel is located close to the city center and within walking distance to all of the places we wanted to go. It is VERY clean and it felt pretty safe.

Comments: Pity the staff does not speak English but the location is **ideal** and there is a kind night keeper. Nota bene: walls are as thin as cigarette paper...

Comments: This is more like a motel than a hostel. The location is as convenient as possible; right in the middle of Centro. It's best if you can speak a little Spanish, as the proprietors were a little hostile until we got to know them. They're suspicious of extra guests (we had a 3-person room, but my cousin who lives in Madrid kept coming over), and told us we were laughing too loud at 5pm.

Comments: Was ideally situated in centre of Madrid, right next to the Metro which takes you anywhere and everywhere in madrid. Staff weren't very friendly and there was a clear language barrier. Hotel room for the last three days wasn't cleaned. Other than that it had everything you needed and depsite being on a busy street for nightlife, you couldn't hear anything in your room.

Comments: The lady at the counter was extremely pleasent and helpful. We had a situation with our arrival and departure dates and they took care of it no problem even though it was a weekend. I would totally reccommend this hostal to anyone. Would def stay here again.

Comments: Location is perfect for a vacation in Madrid all the good stuff is just in the neighbourhood. The staff is sweet but there’s only one of the them who speak English and she's only there during the day. You can't really communicate with the staff there isn’t speaking any English.

Comments: I was really sorry that I don't speak their native language of Spanish. However, it is impossible for a traveller to speak all the local languages of the destinations. The attitude of the hotel staff is really outragous. They didn't show any will to communicate with those who don't speak their language.

Comments: Location is perfected, next to metro stòp Opera. The rooms are clean and the bathroom is small but ok. The reception is open 24 hours, but the personnel does not speak a word of english. They have wireless in the lobby, but the signal is not strong enough to use internet in the room.

Comments: The hostal is located in a excellent location very close where most of the action take place in Madrid. Its located a few blocks from Palacio Real, Puerta de Sol. Staff is very friendly, the lady and the gentelman are very helpfull. Beds were clean, bathroom was very clean but extremely small, i could barely move around. Overall i recomend this hostal for your stay in Madrid.

Comments: Unfortunately there was a misunderstanding with when check in time was. One of the travelers spoke Spanish but is not a native. They misunderstood one of the staff members about when check in time was and another staff member was extremely angry and refused to understand where we were coming from. From there on she was extremely rude to us. My recommendation is that if you do stay in this hostel, DO NOT attempt to check in before 2:30 pm. It is in the best location you could ask for in Madrid and is pretty clean with relatively good security. It is not easy to meet people if that is what you are looking for. Because this hostel was a bit expensive, I think you can find cheaper and be satisfied.

Comments: Need to speak Spanish as the owners dont speak very good english. Its very clean, be aware that the owner comes in when your not in your room to open the window...bit bizarre.....dont get to meet as many people infact didint speak to anyone.....just above the los amigos so can always meet people from that hostal.Good for families i think ......
