| Comments: the location of this hotel SUCKS!!! if u like living out in the sticks (zone 4 !!!) and having to switch from the tube to the overground trains and then having to walk at least 15 to 20 mins from the station , then boy oh boy is this the place for u . the room was average at best, the showers were terrible, starts out scalding hot and then becomes freezing cold. the only plus side of this place is the awesome free breakfast ( a proper cooked english brekkie with cereal on the side) |

| Comments: It's a hotel in a pub so that is great. Clean beds and nice staff to make it complete. The only thing is that there isn't a station nearby but as a hotel it's great for 20 pounds a night. |

| Comments: Hooligans threw rocks at our window all night long and kept us awake. This was not a secure neighborhood. |

| Comments: I had made a reservation for 4 nights in the forest gate hotel, paid already the deposit and bookingfee.
I took the booking confirmation with me to the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel in the evening, we had to wait a long time for the manager, and when he showed up he told us that there was no room for us, because another guest wanted to stay a night longer. This is not how you treat your guests and not the way you manage a hotel! I'm sorry, but we never book this hotel again, and we would never advise this hotel to someone. |

| Comments: i was very unimpressed to find that not only was ther no tv in our room(there was tv's in other rooms) but the bed broke the moment we sat on it, also the blanket was for a single bed, not a double which we had. the staff where informed of this and just igonred it. they never cleaned the room once when we where gone, the towles werent changed either. overall it was a very disappointing experience. |

| Comments: Did not offer the facilities it claimed to; Breakfast and kitchen facilities.
Not a very good area/ far from london and no tourist attractions.
Service was not very friendly
a nice quiet hostel, would not reccommend if you're young and wanting to party and meet people |

| Comments: me and the friend i was traveling with got to the hostel early and had to wait outside until it opened at 12pm. we were told by a young man that the rooms had all been flooded and that we would have to stay at another hotel that was affiliated with that one, which turned out to be false. i was also concerned that he would charge me even though we had to stay at the other hotel. the service was terrible and that guy seemed very shady. all in all i would say stay somewhere else. |

| Comments: Most of the staff is friendly, but there is a girl, unable to say please, good morning, thank you... and treats you are guilty for everything bad that has ever happen in her life.
There is really loud music playing at weekends, hotel is 15 minutes away from the nearest public transport and the kitchen is so dirty that we couldn't eat in it. |

| Comments: I was grateful that the bed was comfortable, and the room was clean and relatively quiet, but the room was apparently under ongoing renovation, as the TV in the room did not function, the electric kettle's cord did not reach the outlet, nor did the cord to the microwave (had to balance it on edge of fridge, which was a bit risky), window did not stay open without a prop, and no ceiling fan meant I had to open the door to get a breeze. The staff were not unfriendly but certainly not particularly concerned about any of this. The shower room was also in need of repair but the water was fine and it was relatively clean. The note on the website describing the location should be clear that it is the national rail (not the tube) that you need to take to get there, and so it does limit your mobility somewhat. The high street was interesting, and there was a supermarket and internet cafe right by the train station. But people might not feel comfortable walking to the hotel from the train station at odd hours as if they were in central London, since this location is a very residential neighborhood made up of small single family homes. |

| Comments: This 'hotel' is above a pub. The entrance to the hotel section of the establishment is thru a dark alleyway in a bad part of town. I wouldn't recommend the place unless you retire early or are traveling with several guys. Also, there is loud music in the pub until 2ish in the morning. |

| Comments: My reservation was not saved so I had no proof that I booked and the hotel was full for the first day.
I was send to an other hotel that should have had the same price, was was much more expensive (instead of 25per night for 2 people 45pound). We phoned the manager several times he told me he will phone be back (he said it is the same price). but the next day we went back to Forest Gate Hotel and the manager offered us a room for free for our second night. so everything went fine at the end but with lot of trouble and discussing! |
