| Comments: Good hostel but few small improvements would help. We were put in a room with a smelly long term resident (even with the window open all day and night) which unfortunately for us made the stay quite unpleasant. The room was extremely hot which exasperaed the situation. There was also a bock of showers that didn´t have hot water which was fine but this backed onto the kitchen and therefore no hot water in the kitchen which is quite unhygenic. |

| Comments: Nice hostel; clean, cheery rooms. Comfy beds, nice common areas. Usually have hot water for showers (if you get there early enough!). I recommend it to backpackers. |

| Comments: While billed as a fun social environment, it failed to live up to my expectations there. It's in a good spot, but there isn't a whole lot going on. The common areas close at 11 pm, which does not help things much. |

| Comments: Great hostel, rooms we not too big, but they have Sangria or Calimocho almost every night. The only bad thing is that the common areas close down around 11. Overall great hostel |

| Comments: Great value, super clean and nice location. More for a younger crowd looking to meet fellow travellers, but still a good base for exploring the city. |

| Comments: The breakfast is a joke, the bread is horrible and looks like it sits there allday.
The lockers only take fat padlocks, so if you\'re going there take one big padlock with you so you won\'t have to pay for one at reception - but they ran out when I asked for one.
The hostel is really big and the beds are not the most comfortable. Nothing spesh but a place to rest your head.
Lastly the common room is smoking and i\'m a smoker but it\'s not pleasant for those who don\'t. They should just have a designated area for that. |

| Comments: I loved my stay here. The location was great...in a safe neighborhood walking distance to main attractions, a block from the metro, and easy to get to from the train. The directions were perfect so I didn't get lost even though I got in at night. The place was clean and everyone was lively and friendly. The staff were great, friendly, helpful, and even remembered my name when I came back to Madrid a week later. Quiet hours start at 11:00 which is nice if you want to sleep, but there is plenty to do close by if you want to stay up. I met great people within five minutes of checking in..."Muchas Gracias for All You Can Eat!" The only downside is that the room doors don't lock, so anyone could potentially come in your room, but the free lockers (bring your own lock) were big enough to store everything I had with me. I would definately stay here again. |

| Comments: ok hostel, not in any way bad, but kitchen and common area closes at 11pm which isnt the best, and so you confined to your room pretty much. main lights in all rooms are turned off at 11pm also, close to metro, good kitchen. internet is expensive, dont choose if you have options. |

| Comments: This was one of the best backpackers I stayed in. The people that ran it were lovely & it had everything a backpacker needs, was really close to the Metro & all the city attractions.
The only thing I did not like, (it seems like a trend across most places I stayed) was the sleeping sheet, most people dont stay within this sheet when they sleep as it doesn't tuck in therefore the bottom sheet & the dooner cover would get dirty each time a bed was used. |

| Comments: I really enjoy my stay in Los Amigos Opera Backpackers. The location of the hostel is excellent in the city centre next to the Opera of Madrid. The staff was really friendly and helpful. I met nice people as well. The atmsophere was fantastic. I recommand this hostel. |

| Comments: This hostel was okay, would go again because it's affordable. Location is best ever. The staff could be more helpful/friendly, and I was a little bothered that the room door did not have a lock--there are lockers in the rooms, though. I like how each bed has individual lights, but the "sheets" were paper thin, did not cover the entire mattress, and really didn't offer that much clean separation from the fitted sheet that doesn't get changed with every person. |

| Comments: This hostel gets high marks because the only thing we could fault it on was the kitchen area wasn't open from 8am - but in Spain you're rarely up before 10 anyway! It was all the little things that made this a great place to stay - non squeaky beds, reading lamps for all beds and a fun Sangria party. Staff were really helpful in and out of the hostel. One of my top hostels! |

| Comments: Good location. Just about 3
minutes from the palace and subway station. The dining room and washroom is very well. But the room is a little too small and crowded. The process of check-in is too slow (about 25 minutes). The staff is not very helpful as I have met in other cities. |

| Comments: Just go and expirience it! And go out to pubcrawling with Gary and Fernando. The best party, one of unique expiriences.
Plus, you are in the centre, it's clean, everybody are helpull, it just fills your Madrid expirience. |

| Comments: this hostel was great. you can tell as soon as you get there that this was started by an experienced backpacker... everything you need here. the best thing about it was the location... close to the action but tucked away in a nice apartment building in a quiet street. |
