| Comments: A great place within a 15 minute walk to the tourist center. Take a bus on arrival to avoid carrying luggage, otherwise walking to town is fairly easy.
There is also a very convenient bus to town if your not up for walking ( I think its the #1 bus).
Excellent breakfast comes with stay. I would definitely stay again. |

Comments: While this isn\'t the place to stay if you\'re looking for a place to party, the staff are nice, the breakfast is good, and the bus stops right across the street.

Comments: Very nice hotel and very helpful staff. The free continental breakfast in the morning was great. A little far of a walk from the center of town but the buses ran right to it. Great experience overall.

Comments: The staff speaks english very well. Breakfast isn't that great, but it works. It takes like around 15 minutes walking to the centre, but the best part of the location is that it has 2 cheap minimarkets nearby and a turkish 'restaurant'.

Comments: Great place- also happened to be the cheapest! Got a private double hotel room for around the same that it would've cost for 2 people in a 8 person hostel room. The reception is very friendly- they even left breakfast sitting out for us the morning we left (as we had to check out before breakfast started). Overall, a great, cute place to stay!

Comments: ok, so fifteen minute walk past the city centre, about an hour walk from the train station, so if you\'re arriving by train, DO take Bus #1 as told in directions. No fun walking with luggage that far. Lovely hotel, very clean, very nice.

Comments: TURN OFF THE HEAT!! it was like 4 million degrees in our room. we put up the do not disturb sign and they still came in and shut our windows. so when we got back at night our room was like a sauna. other than the heat and the staff not be able to read their own do not disturb signs. the place was nice with a good price and a short 10 min walk to town.

Comments: When asked about wi fi access the staff member concerned did not know about it and confirmed there was a computer in the lobby and she did not know about wi fi (or even what we were talking about). subsequently a younger staff member was able to confirm and allow us wi fi.

Comments: The hotel is very good but expensive. Room is a bit small but its ok as clean has tv etc. They should provide tea/coffee made by guest in the room.

Comments: It was a cute little hotel situated about 20 minutes(walk)from the city centre. The rooms were spacious with nice bathrooms and cable tv. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they even came up to our room to fix our tv. When they couldn't fix the tv they switched our room without a fuss. There isn't much to do in Salzburg after 6pm but that isn't the Hotel's fault.

Comments: We very much enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The quality of the room, coupled with a huge breakfast made our stay more than reasonable in terms of cost. A definite thumbs up!

Comments: We had a really good stay - the staff were friendly & helpful, the room was nice & the breakfasts were great! We would recommend Hotel Astoria to our friends. Some suggestions for the hotel: provide tea/coffee making facilities in all rooms; some more English language channels on the TVs; provide separate bedside lamps instead of the bright light on the wall.
