There is nothing near but a few house and 2 friendly pub. We spent 1 night there, lit fire on the beach and played guitar for the local in the pub. Great fun! It's not easy to find but once you are there you don't want to leave. Hostel is friendly, very clean and tidy, kitchen well equipped. No shops near so be prepared. I'd definitely go back. :)

A taxi ride to town cost about 5 euro-- it is 8km from Dingle city centre. There is a pub on site and the Lodge is in a beautiful location on the beach. Also, the room was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.
