'This place is what you make of it. Its not every day you get to stay on an Irish farm and the rooms were very well kept. Its about a 10 minute drive from Kilkenny but we were sure to be back by dark ...'

Situated in the Valley of the Kings River on the outskirts of Kilkenny, between the medieval village of Kells and Stoneyford, Lawcus is a superbly renovated stone farm house offering its guests luxury and tranquility.
Three of the accommodations are split level, with separate living and dining area, refurbished to the highest standard.
The Gold room (family room) has 1 double and 2 single bed.
The Oak room has 2 single and 1 double bed. The Hunter?s room has 1 double bed. The Stone and Brennans room offer their own enchanted feel with double brass beds.
The breakfast dining room has a wonderful original Inglenook fire place where you can enjoy a full Irish breakfast.
Less than a stone's throw away the cut grass paths bring you down to the Kings River where you may encounter some of her myriad of wildlife. Wild flowers also survive here on this ancient site.
The village pubs are friendly offering traditional music or a barbecue in a cosy atmosphere. A working water mill, mote and bailey and the famous Kells priory are all within walking distance.
It would give us great pleasure to share this wonderful part of Ireland with you and make it one to remember.
